"The location and staff were excellent. However, the room was not properly cleaned. The carpet had two large sticky spots, which appeared to be from drinks spilled by previous guests. I reported this to the reception, and they offered to move us to another room. However, we had already unpacked our luggage, so we decided to stay. The air conditioning was also very poor and barely worked. The room felt hot and uncomfortable, and as a result, we did not sleep well."

"The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring being adjacent to the central railway/metro/bus. We were in 429, and it was so quiet it was perfect. We selected an ensuite room and it was very clean and functional, as you'd expect for a 2 star hotel. There was a fridge in the room but it didn't work. We didn't need it so didn't bother. There was a safe, but it constantly failed to recall our pass code (we always use the same one on hotel safes, so it's not like we were forgetting the code!) after the staff had to use a key to unlock it a couple of times, we asked to be given a safe deposit box in reception instead. This worked brilliantly. You can buy tea and coffee from reception, which is open 24 hours. I would recommend this hotel if you are on a budget and happy to be independent."

"The room was very clean, updated and modern. However, the curtains and drapes did not fully block out the light despite the fact there were also external Sun blinds which automatically come down at 11:00 pm and go up at 8:00 am. The brightness made being able to fully sleep through the night a bit of a challenge. I would suggest the drapes and blinds extend to the full width of the window to prevent light coming in through both ends as it appears the rods stop just shy of fully covering the windows. The breakfast was very good but does end shortly after the stated time so be sure to go down well before it ends (10:00 am during the week and possibly 11:00 am on the weekends). The breakfast staff are very efficient and friendly. The location seems to about a 20-30 minutes walk from most of the main sights (Nyhavn, Amalienborg Palace, etc.) but only a 10 minute walk to the central train station and Tivoli. Food options are rather limited nearby and would require walking 10-20 minutes from the hotel for more options."

"My stay dates there were May 12–15, 2026. What I appreciated: • The central location, which made it easy to explore the city. Areas that need improvement: • My reservation indicated a Wakeup Large room with a maximum capacity of three guests. In reality, the room was extremely small and contained two twin beds arranged in a way that felt more like a dormitory than a “large” room category. • One wall panel near the bed was broken. • The room had no desk and no proper nightstands — only tiny glass shelves barely large enough for a pair of glasses. The bedside light was too dim to be used for reading. • There was no safe in the room. • The shower had no cabin or curtain, causing the entire bathroom floor to become wet and slippery after each use. • There was almost no counter space in the bathroom, not even enough for a toothbrush. • There was no luggage assistance available; I had to bring my suitcases to the room myself. I chose Wakeup Copenhagen because of its reputation for modern, efficient accommodations, so encountering all of these issues was disappointing."
