“This was actually our second stay at Lum as when our flights were delayed we wanted a little haven to relax and enjoy our extra time in the South. The staff here were so friendly and helpful and everything about the complex made it feel like a lovely place to stay. “Beautiful property on great stretch of Kabalana beach. It was really nice walking along the long stretch of beach and having a dip in the warm and clear water. The king size bedroom was big, clean and very comfortable. The pool area was relaxing with comfortable sun beds with a great view of the beach and also direct access. We enjoyed eating lunch at the pool area with some of the best king prawns we had, deep fried in panko breadcrumbs. Everything we had for lunch and breakfast was good...

“Utrolig lekkert boutique hotell. Litt harde senger og mye bølgesus inn på de stilige rommene, som gjorde det litt vanskelig å sove. Frokost burde inkludert kaffe/te, men var ellers god. Maten ellers har også et potensiale for å bli bedre. Samme var service og når ting kom på bordet, men hjalp at alle var veldig søte og imøtekommende. Alt i alt et supert opphold som anbefales. ”

“It was my girlfriend’s first time visiting Sri Lanka and Ahangama was the first place we had been on the coast since she got here. Because of this we decided to spend a bit more on a hotel for a bit of a nicer stay. However what we got from a Timeless Villa was not this. We had various basic amenities missing from our room, for example we had no hand towels and we also did not get a kettle so had to ask staff to get us one from another room. We also only had one plug point where the kettle was...

“Nice clean rooms and attentive staff, pool was heated and the location was walkable into certain surf spots; sticks, and marshmallow. Only issues is that the bathroom was slightly broken, sink was loose and shower door dragged. The staff we not familiar with Expedia payments, but this is common for the island as most hotels don’t like the idea of not being paid cash. This was sorted eventually but remember to show your payment receipt on check in. ”

“Fantastiskt rum och härlig balkong med kvällssol. Snygg interiör och färgval. Fin personal, bra frukost. Vi hade en fin vistelse och det är ett fint hotell men vi tyckte det saknades lite ”feeling”, hotellet kändes överlag mörkt och tyst trots att det bodde mycket människor där. Hade varit trevligt med lite musik på eftermiddagen/ kvällen som gav stället lite mer energi, tror det även hade lockat dit fler folk. ”

“Firstly the reservation hadn't been received so I had to pay for the room again and rely on a refund from Hotels.com. Nice room but very noisy with train line adjacent to the building. Location wasn't great with a 20 min walk into Ahangama and no nearby restaurant or food shops. I left one night early but no refund for the unused night from the hotel. Overall not a good experience.”
