"Lovely, small hotel situated right by the river and uni campus in the old town. Our main floor room was large, clean and bright. No AC but there was a fan to cool the room at night which worked well (we visited early July during a warm spell). Front desk staff were lovely and helpful. However be sure to take note of the limited front desk hours if you are arriving after 15:30. Breakfast in the cellar was charming and delicious!"
"I loved staying at this hotel! It was in a great location walkable to almost anything you want to do in old town. The funicular to get up to the castle is right outside the elevator, which was really nice. The breakfast buffet was delicious. I was even offered fruit and a roll on the morning that I had to leave before the buffet was open, which was really sweet. My only complaint was the lack of air-conditioning. It was around 90° the days I stayed and got pretty uncomfortable in the room. Otherwise, great place to stay!"
"Love the hotel especially when it’s hot in the city because they have an ac unit in the room and its right in the downtown area. Very easy to access for a mid day nap before continuing to check out the sights."
"Great location. Room is nice. Due to the hotel being a historic building there is no air conditioning so the room is very warm on hot days. There is no parking or drop off area so be prepared to walk with luggage on cobbled streets from the parkade."
"The layout of the hotel is perfect, we parked indoors the underground parking with a quick walk to the reception where a very helpful and friendly receptionist welcomes you to the hotel. Then we headed out our Panoramic View room, which was immaculately clean, and the morning breakfast was perfect.
We absolutely loved the train that takes you to the castle and downtown. In addition, the restaurant was able to accommodate for my wife’s gluten allergy (Celiac).
We absolutely loved it."
"A fantastic historic place to stay right in the center of town. The hotel is full of nice wood carving, panneling, paintings and other cool things. Our room looked out on the cathedral, which was really neat. Beds were comfortable, staff kind and helpful, would definitely stay again."
"You must stay here while visiting Heidelberg. The view is simply breathtaking. The staff extraordinarily accomodating. They could not do enough for us. From check-in to our departure all we heard was "Yes." and "What else can we do for you?" Daily breakfast was outstanding. Everything from meats, cheeses, olives, cooked to order eggs and so much more. Presentation was a 3 tier etagere display filled with everything you could desire from smoked salmon to fruit, even a strawberry smoothie. You cannot do better than this Boutique Hotel. The only mistake we encountered was of our own making. There is a a similarly named hotel that we first went to. Make sure you have the proper address. Lesson learned. We've stayed at a number of 5 Star hotels. Every one falls short compared to this one. Enjoy your stay. They even have complimentary bikes to use to help you further explore this quaint little town. Can't recommend them highly & strongly enough! You'll love it. Book it now and ask for room #3 on the third floor. It's a postcard view you'll never beat or forget."
