The beach that runs along the shore from Kamari on is their premier beach. It's black sand, not fine sand, and very commercial. Be prepared to rent one of the hundreds of chairs and umbrellas that run almost uninterrupted along with the shops, restaurants and bars just behind the beach. There were very few areas where there was "public" access.
Kanari is one exclusive area ideal for shopping and restaurants. Beach was nice, but water was cold even though it was a hot day.
Bring water shoes. The beach is pebbles.
There are many sunbeds to lay on, but you must order from the associated restaurants to lay on them. If you do not want to do that, you can bring a towel and lay on the beach, but it is quite pebbly. The water is wonderful.
Good to go see due to the landscape but definitely not a place for swimming , too many rock. Also you would need shoes for the sand. It is black and gets very very hot. You cannot walk with base feet
