"This business type hotel turned out to be a great choice:
* Quite comfortable with friendly, helpful staff
* The room was well appointed, and a little roomier than many similar hotels I've stayed in in Japan.
* Very convenient walking distance to points of interest, to the main rail/bus station, and to dozens of restaurants
* Lots of things to choose from at the breakfast buffet. (Note: mostly Japanese items, but a few things available for those preferring North American breakfast foods)
If I return to Takushima, I would definitely stay again at Toyoka Inn."

"I stayed at hotel Taiyo Noen for one night, after arriving in Tokushima late at night. The staff at the hotel was really nice. Shoutout to the Nepalese gentlemen who spoke English, helped me, and made my stay even better. Breakfast was really delicious and filling. The location is also very convenient. "This hotel is dated and has definitely seen better days. I had a non-smoking room that reeked of smoke :(. However, it was low cost and everything worked. The guy in reception was welcoming and friendly- made a particular effort to explain things, show me the free drinks in reception and hand me a tourist map. Location is walkable from centre (flat walk), but slightly further than ideal. Many dining options easily reached, but don’t expect much English spoken (have a translation app handy)."
