Overall, the location is great and the hotel is nice- but when you spend that much on a room, I expect it to be impeccably maintained and cleaned. The bathroom had the pink soap scum in all in the tile grout which generally gives you the feeling that cleaning is not a priority, which is very disappointing given the price you pay here.

Everyone that worked there was very helpful. What bothered me is that they sent out a letter saying that the outdoor pool and hot tub would be closed for the majority of our stay. No offer of compensation. One of the reasons that I chose the place was the outdoor heated pool and hot tub. It was our 25th Anniversary. I understand that maintenance has to be done but the hotel should let you know before you book. How is it fair that we did not get to enjoy one of the highlights of the place. And someone else pays the same price and gets to enjoy? Also the sauna was temporarily closed as well.

Room 3008 was clean and comfortable. The staff were professional and pleasant. The issue for me is two fold. The room was located in a portion of the hotel that was being upgraded. The hallway carpet had what appeared to be paint stains near the door to the room. Once inside the room, the door stopper was hanging on by a thread. What really bothered me was the bathroom fan was not working. Totally unacceptable when sharing a room. When I booked the room, I indicated that I would have two small dogs with me. My room was located on the 3rd floor and extremely far from the doors leading out to the grassed area located on the ground floor. I could not have been placed in a more inconvenient location for someone traveling with pets. For what I paid for a one night experience at this 5 star hotel, I would have been just as happy staying at a 2 star hotel for 1/5th of the price. I cannot recommend this establishment for these reasons.
