I had a really pleasant stay here. The staff were wonderful, and everyone was so kind, friendly, and welcoming. Their warm smiles made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. The hotel itself is an older property, but it is very well maintained and clearly cared for. The facilities were also well equipped, and everything I needed was there for a comfortable stay. It was a lovely experience, and I would be happy to stay here again.

We had a wonderful 4 days in and around Kandersteg. The train station is very close by. Excellent walks and cable car access. Our time at the Bernerhof was very relaxing. The food was excellent, as always. Food intolerances were taken seriously and adapted to without any fuss, so enabling us to be able to relax properly Thank you very much Claudia, Gerhard and the team.

Very good breakfast, easy parking and convenient to mountain hiking, the room was smaller than we expected but fine, although our twin beds were actually not separate from each other but connected. Overall, a lovely hotel

Lovely relaxing location.

Hotel in good location with fantastic views and excellent service. However the bathroom was cramped and in serious need of an upgrade, which was a shame as this the hotel was excellent otherwise. The owners were always present and very welcoming and happy to assist on every point. Great hiking location away from the tourist hoards.

Perfect location for the best sight in the region! Very clean but the best part is pay the extra for mountain view. The balcony with the view was the best view of any room we have ever experienced.

Had the most wonderful stay at this lovely family hotel in Kandersteg. The owners and staff made sure we were well looked after. The room was spotlessly clean & comfortable and had the most amazing view with a balcony. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and service was outstanding. The birthday suprise was a very thoughtful touch too! Definitely recommend this super hotel.

Hospitality at its best!

The owner managers of this fine establishment are master and mistress of the craft of hospitality. What more can I say? Oh, and the food was very good. Go for half board, you don't need to leave the hotel to find better food!

Fabulous, gorgeous, wonderful

From check in to check out everything was perfect. I needed to do laundry and happiky accomplished it in the guest facility. I had a fabulous dinner with the owner Claudia and Gerhart making sure every detail was exceptional. My room was comfortable and clean, the TV had a few English channels. The plants throughout the hotel were gorgeous all tended to by Claudia. I was thrilled to arrive at this perfect hotel And sad to depart.

Claudia welcomed me personally at dinner. Her and her partner were only too happy to help in any way possible. The rooms were clean & tidy, with balconies that offered unbeatable views of the mountains. They even made me some food for the road, as I had leave very early to catch a train. The hotel had a lovely, personal vibe.

Wonderful little hotel in the mountains!

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. We were able to store our luggage before checkin and it was in our room when we returned. The room was small, but very clean and had a balcony with Mountain View’s. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet had an excellent choice of items: several fresh breads, jams, yogurt, fruit, cheeses, meats, and oatmeal. They would also cook scrambled eggs and bacon on request. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. They have a self service laundry which was handy. Very close to everything in town. No Air conditioning, as is usual in Switzerland, but with a fan and the door to the balcony slightly open, the room was comfortable at night. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
