It is a symbol of identity in Kandyan Architecture. In the olden days, the king would stand there to address his citizens who were gathered in front of him. The golden roof behind stands over the Buddha tooth relic that this temple is famous for. Beautiful new hotel with clean and modern rooms. We didn’t eat at the hotel but restaurant looked nice and pool is beautiful. It’s a short tuktuk ride to town but nice and quiet and city views.

Amazing

The best view in Kandy, from both our balcony and the infinity pool you look over the whole of Kandy lake with numerous mountains in the background. Staff were incredible, extremely helpful and always friendly and happy to assist.

New hotel with great views of the lake

Brand new hotel recently opened, so everything looks new and good quality fittings. Members of staff were very attentive to our needs. Views are great because the hotel is up in the hill so you get beautiful views of the lake and temples. Great rooftop pool with infinity view. We really enjoyed the Sri Lankan breakfast

Very nice hotel with great views.

Very friendly staff. They've stayed very late after midnight to welcome me and make sure my needs are attended. I had a comfortable sleep and woke up with an excellent view over looking the lake and city centre. The room is brand new with all amenities available and was very spacious with a generous balcony. I had 2 choices for breakfast continental and Sri Lankan both of which where very good.

Great view of Kandy

Newly built hotel with great views over the lake. Easy access into town by a shortcut which is not on google maps and shown to me by staff member. All staff helpful and professional. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and so was the evening meal. The pool is welcome in the heat but there are not that many sunloungers. Overall an oasis of calm in a noisy and busy city. Great to sit on balcony and just watch the action in the late afternoon.

Comfortable but not exceptional.

The check-in was smooth, however we found the bell boy a bit rude. Hotel is nice, it looks new however some of the finishes were not top notch for the price you were paying. The exhaust in the bathroom kept turning on and off, and it sounded like a car was revving, so we kept it off. Since we just staying a night we didn't bring it up with the staff. Pressure in the shower head was weak, but the hand held shower head was decent. Bed was comfy. Sri Lankan breakfast was tasty, a must try for every tourist! Nice view of the lake from the balcony, make sure you keep your balcony doors locked. We were visited by a monkey couple who got busy and gave us a good show. Definitely a highlight of the stay !

Fantastic service from the staff. Great room with million dollar views. Most comfortable bed I have slept in Sri Lanka. Beautiful rooftop with great infinity pool overlooking Kandy lake. Very walkable location - to the city in minutes! The only negative is that the hotel could not handle the volume of guests at breakfast. Many dishes were empty and kept empty for ages. The hoppers we ordered took 2 hours to come! This was the day after the Randoli Perahera so is assume they were not equipped to handle this number of guests. Looking forward to staying here again. A true gem run by the nicest staff ever!

Lovely hotel but very noisy. From the water in the room next door to someone vacuuming outside the room and the noise from the road…it should have better sound proofing

Avoid - not great hotel - 3* at best

I did not like this hotel firstly having just arrived we were paying our driver & thanking him for the journey, the porter came to us 3 times in approx 1 minute to get us to come over to reception so rude.We took half our bags to the room the porter took one then hung around in the room not leaving til we realised he wanted money.So uncomfortable & unprofessional in all 5 hotels we stayed in not once have staff done this.the room was dirty,put my bag down by the bedside light & there was white dust along where it meets wall on both sides of bed & opposite where tea station was.The sheets had marks on so for the 1st time ever I rang reception to clean the dirty spaces & change the sheets which they did with dry cloth not antibac spray so much for covid.Toiletries had previously been used had no labels on & didn’t match.Went to make coffee only 1 sachet.The fridge didn’t work.Couldn’t use balcony due to monkeys.Lift smelt awful, need to use air fresheners.Tried to get coffee at the coffee lounge no one there waited 10 mins then left.our cooked to order breakfast was left on the side by staff for about 8 mins before being served by this time it was cold.noticed staff did it to everyone, they put it down before serving walked away faffed on with serviettes coffee machines talking to guests then minutes later served it, cold.Party on 1 night above us in pool area ridiculously loud music finished at 9 but clearing away went on til midnight so loud, cleaning cloth left in room,
