Everything was good during my stay at this hotel, except the furnace was too hot (N.B. The trip was made in November).

The staff has always been great. When my AC started leaking one night, they quickly had me in a new room. The location next to the Kashiwa train station makes it easy to get any place in Tokyo.
Really close to Kashiwa station, the area around is neat and has a bunch of restaurants, bars & stores, the station itself does too and has a great doughnut shop.
It looks far away from Tokyo on a map but wasn’t really that bad depending on where in Tokyo you’re going. The hotel is a bit old school but I like that, real door key, proper buttons and stuff if or the lights & AC in the room. 80/90s style, helpful staff and also a McDonald’s nearby.
Service and staff was very helpful. Wi-fi reliability was questionable throughout the day but other than it was a nice place to stay. If I need to stay in the area, I would book them again.
Rooms are looking really dated. Carpets haven't been properly cleaned in ages, so you can see dust coming up as you walk (probably not good for your health).
I just needed a place to stay for a few days after moving out of my house, so I didn’t need anything special. Affordable and had a “home” feeling. It was a great place to stay and the staff was very friendly and accommodating even though my Japanese is not great. Every day they provided cleaning or if I didn’t want cleaning, they provided extra amenities (new towels, robe, trash bags, tea, razor, etc). The cleaning ladies were also very nice. I was also able to check back into my room past 2 am on New Year’s Eve which was really helpful for me because I missed my train back to Kashiwa and didn’t arrive to the hotel until 3:30, but I was still able to check in and get into my room.
Also very close to the station, so I didn’t need to walk in the cold for very long.
The only thing I didn’t like was the early check out on the day I was leaving, but it was also my fault for waking up late.
Overall great experience
So I booked for one day nonsmoking room and then during my stay, I rebooked for two more days but accidentally booked smoking room. When I re-checked in before 10AM on the second day I found out my mistake. I apologized to front desk. Then I made sure that if I canceled on second night I will not be refunded, as it was less than 24hrs. But will be refunded third. At first, I agreed to stay both nights and changed to nonsmoking room next day, but then changed my mind and went down to speak to the lady who spoke english. I told her, sure that’s fine you can keep the second night's money but I will canceling for both days that I booked as I didn’t want smoking room on the second day. The lady decided to charge me $20 extra because I checked out after 10 and stay until 1 PM. She had told me prior to stay in the room to wait for when they tell me which room I will be in. But why will canceling affect them as their check in time is 3 and i already paid for a room, so that room will be empty and free to book by others, yet I still paid, and on top of that she charged me for staying overtime, WHEN I PAID FOR THE ROOM and it was free to book by others because I did not stay. I felt forced and didn't want to cause a scene. Totally unreasonable for that lady to do that to me. Too bad the other staff were nice. Will not be coming back.
