"The beachfront location was perfect, and we really enjoyed being on the east side of the island which allowed us to explore the other parts of the island pretty easily. The grounds are gorgeous and being situated very closely to a couple good restaurants and a small shopping center was very convenient. I would say a few of the staff were less than helpful, and we were not informed that housing only comes on the 5th day of your stay. Since we didn’t know that, we inadvertently put out the “do not disturb “ sign on our 5th day. Once we found out about housekeeping, we asked them to come the following day (day 6). They did NOT come the following day, and when we asked for towels on the morning of our 7th day, we were told that we didn’t need them since housekeeping came. We got the towels and told them housekeeping didn’t need to come, since we were checking out the next day. We left for the day, and returned to find housekeeping had come and replaced our fresh towels with new fresh towels.
Another issue that we had was a smoke alarm went off at 2am in the unit right below us, and because they don’t have 24/7 staff on site, it continued to alarm until about 10am. Needless to say, didn’t get any sleep that night. So even with the issues about lack of communication from the staff, and a lack of urgency in getting issues addressed, I would stay there again due to location."
