Not a family friendly place

We have stayed with hotel Birke last year, which was good. This time however, the experience was very bad. We received a room, where there must have been some admin or the like above. There was a constant movement and the noise was very loud, which made it hard for us to fall asleep. Once asleep, we had the weirdest experience, as a man (likely an employee) barged in our room in the middle of the night. This woke my wife and made her very scared. He ran away and we barricaded the room for the rest of the night. When we talked with the staff about this the following morning, they of course apologised and said it could have been a staff person who entered wrongly. Also the staff in the pool, a gentleman was not really that friendly when he corrected our child, which was being very considerate in the pool. In general the hotel gives a vibe that it has some good/upper class, but in reality the experience was very bad. This is a shame as we had gotten a good expression last year, but this time it was just bad.

En perle ud over det sædvanlige.

Endnu et dejligt ophold på vores yndlings sted Birke. Vi har igennem årene fundet retur til denne perle, alt hvad man har bug for findes her, god stemning, høj service. Spa afdelingen er i en liga helt i toppen. Fantastisk morgenmad. Vi ses helt sikkert igen.

Dejligt sted at komme vi har været der flere gange pænt og rent sted, stille og rolig sted med go mad. Ikke sidste gang vi kommer der :-)

Hotellet skulle ligge i forbindelse med et indkøbscenter, det lå 2 km væk. Restauranten på stedet var meget dyr og kan forstå exklusiv. Værelset var ok, ingen mulighed for at lave kaffe.

Dejligt hotel med lækkert spamråde

Imødekommende og venligt personale. Det var rart at de kunne tale engelsk - mit tyske er slet ikke godt nok. Flot hotel. Hotelværelset fint. Lækker morgenmad- når der var mange mennesker om morgenen var det svært at komme til buffeten. Der opstod et flaskehalsproblem. Vi spiste i hotellets restaurant 3 gange. Maden var virkelig god. Spaområdet var lækkert og der var åbnet til kl 22.00. En rigtig dejlig oplevelse. Vi vil gerne tilbage. Vh Leila

Lugt på værelset

Vi fik et værelse, hvor min kone straks bemærkede det våde gulvtæppe, mens jeg var mere optaget af lugten. Der stank af puha. Jeg gav ungerne skylden, men lugten forsvandt ikke. I receptionen tilbød de håndklæder til at opsuge spildt vand fra rengøringen. Men problemerne forsvandt aldrig. De glemte os, så vi udstod problemet, da det kun var to korte dage. Derudover er hotellet fra en ældre tid, og vi var heller ikke imponeret af spa-afdelingen eller morgenbuffetten. Det var acceptabelt, men jeg anbefaler andre steder tættere på Kiel, hvis du vil opleve denne dejlige by. Positive ting: Fint badeværelse, god bar.
