“This is an old building that was converted into a hotel in 2000. While other travelers contributed multiple positive reviews, I was disappointed at the antiquated bathrooms, cleanliness, and comfort considering the cost. The bathroom door, floor, and shower were dirty; the tub bathmat was rolled-up and placed in the shower soap dish; the shower curtain was filthy; the tub showed signs of water damage; the plumbing was weak and lacked siphon power. The carpet was dingy and wrinkled. From the...

“The hotel was a former hunt club and the integrety of the old building has been maintained, but the rooms are modern, clean and well laid out. The staff were excellent. Very helpful giving directions and chatting. The food exemplary.”

“주차장이 3분거리에 있음 모든게 다 맘에 들었음 다음에 숙박 다시 하고싶음 아일랜드 최고의 도시및 호텔이었음”

“Hotel is just a walking distance to town centre where you can browse around . Staff are friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable . It was a nice overnight stay.”

“Great pub and luminous room!”

“Overall, a very nice hotel with clean rooms , friendly staff and it’s about a 15 minute walk to the center of town . The town was very busy with car traffic , so I’d suggest parking at the hotel to make it very stress free .”

“Clean, newly renovated rooms. Very friendly staff. Good food.”

“The Location , comfort , staff ,”

“The room was clean , a convenient location center of town”

“The standard room was dark small and uncomfortable had 1 full bed and a twin it’s a a family room I don’t understand why we were assigned that room we are a couple luckily we don’t spend time in the room. Also the pictures on Expedia did not show that the standard room had this format. We complained but were told that is how all the standard rooms are. Pool area isn’t very nice small pool and there wasn’t a hot tub”

“This was a great place! The car park was around the back of the building with plenty of spaces. The room was clean and well maintained and the bed was comfortable. We ate in the bar restaurant and the food was delicious. Our waiter, John, gave us excellent advice on things to see and do in the area and Trish, one of the managers, went above and beyond with hospitality. I’d definitely stay here again.”

“La cena fue lo mejor pero x el precio de la habitación me lo imaginé con mas lujo”

“The Step House hotel was one of our favorite stays on our Ireland trip! We had a beautiful and spacious room that opened onto a terrace overlooking the gardens and mountains in the distance. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast in the 1808 Pub. The staff was wonderful and the extra touches like flowers and prosecco in the room made this the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary and start off our trip! We enjoyed the small town of Borris and walking the Railway trail. We hope to...
