“We stayed 3 nights in mid April. First, do not let the rainy season deter you. The rains did come in the late afternoons and the trekking was a little muddy, but I think it is likely the best time to gorilla trek and/or look for the golden monkeys. “Exceedingly lovely staff. So many nice surprises like burning fireplaces in the rooms with hot water bottles in the beds, foot rubs and shoe cleanings after our hike. Mattresses were amazing. Food was quite good, the included breakfast is expansive. Very beautiful grounds. Live dancing one night. Lovely dog Sparky. A few words of caution: most of our showers did not have hot water. “Het hotel is ruim opgezet, het personeel vriendelijk. Ontvangst met gemberthee. Het hotel was schoon, de kamers ruim. sAvonds werd de haard in onze kamer aangestoken. Voor onze safari naar de Golden Monkeys was het een heel goede locatie, ook voor de Gorilla safari in Rwanda is het een goede plek. Het eten was uitgebreid , maar de kwaliteit viel een beetje tegen. ”

“deze lodge bestaat niet, het is een frauduleuze onderneming waarbij foto's van andere lodges worden gebruikt en waarbij gasten die zogenaamd geboekt hebben én betaald aan hotels.com, door een dubieuze "lodge manager" ter plaatse naar een andere lodge worden verwezen (met argument dat zijn lodge, Twin Lakes, onverwacht volzet is, en waarbij de gast opnieuw moet betalen aan deze lodge. We stuurden hierover een mail naar hotels.com.”
