“It was really nice to stay in Wagon and Horse. You can feel and enjoy real Yorkshire pub and culture with nice people in York. The room was so clean and the facility was also quite good.(It doesn't have bathtub in my room, but the power of shower was great not to care about the bathtub.) The breakfast was very good and enough to start good morning. It is located near the Clifford tower, and so easy to visit touristic places in York. Highly recommend this hotel and York!”

“The room was very clean, the bed was really large and comfortable, the receptionist we met on arrival and departure was very kind, friendly and made us feel very welcome, also the domestic team were equally helpful and friendly. We were able to book a late checkout at no extra cost which made our stay even better. We really enjoyed our stay here, and would definitely stay again when we visit York. ”

“Staff at Oulton Hall are the stand out feature. From check in to Oliver in the restaurant to the waiting staff at breakfast, all are well above expectations. Old school service where staff wait for you to pass rather than rushing to get where THEY need to be is actually quite refreshing these days. Can some things be improved, sure but this hotel has a lovely pool, great dinner and breakfast and just a lovely vibe. Check it out, for the most of us, it’s a wonderful experience. ”

“A lovely hotel set in beautiful surroundings, offering cosy, comfortable rooms that make for a relaxing stay. There are several pubs nearby, and it’s easy to reach York city centre by bus, or by a scenic 40-minute walk. A great balance of peace and convenience — I’ll definitely be returning.”

“주인분이 너무 친절하시고 좋았습니다. 아침도 영국식 아침으로 주시는데 너무 맛있게 잘 먹었습니다. 완전 시내 중심은 아니지만 걸어서 멀지는 않고 주택가라서 안전하게 느껴집니다. 전반적으로 청결하고 편안하게 잘 지내다 갑니다. 더불어, 창밖으로 보이는 풍경이 너무 좋아서 조금 돈을 주고서라도 제일 큰 방에 머문 보람이 있습니다. ㅎㅎ”

“Staff were excellent. Service was brilliant for breakfast and we had meal in the restaurant on our first night . The young man serving us was very welcoming and advised us re the tapas menu . Room comfortable. The bathroom was a little tired shower was excellent but decor needs refurbishing . After a shower the room was drenched in condensation. The bathroom heater wasn’t working on the first night there . All in all no complaints this was our second visit to this hotel and we will come back ”
