"This is an amazing property built in the late 60's. Very rustic and built into a rock mountain with fantastic views over the Northern Serengeti. You must appreciate rustic and that not always will you have power and hot water, it is very very remote and difficult to get to. I'm an adventurer and this was my favorite of all the places we stayed, but not for everyone. It could use some maintenance, but overall the food was great and is a one of a kind accommodation. "This trip to the Serengeti was truly a bucket-list experience, the kind that creates core memories and this luxury camp made it even more special than I could have imagined.I traveled with my kids, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The camp itself is spotless, superbly maintained, and incredibly comfortable. One detail that really stood out was the hot water bottle tucked into the sheets at night ,such a thoughtful touch that made the evenings cozy and unforgettable.
But the true gems of this camp are the people. Every single staff member was exceptional, from the talented chef to the Maasai tribesmen who safely escorted us to our tent at night. A very special mention goes to Paolo and Agnes, my kids absolutely adored them and couldn’t get enough of their company. Their warmth, kindness, and genuine care made our stay magical.
My only regret is that we stayed just two nights ,it was nowhere near enough.
I give this camp 5 stars without hesitation, and for the staff… 1,000 stars ⭐️. This is a place that stays with you long after you leave."
"We arrived at the lodge’s main entrance road sign about 6pm, myself and two young daughters after a full day of driving, tired and hungry. The main entrance road was blocked by trees branches clearly arranged in a line across the road. No written sign to redirect traffic or explain. We drove on to see if there was another entrance, there was none. we drove back to the main entrance I got out of the car removed the branches and drove up to the lodge to find the road had been washed away a short distance from the main road and was impassable. We assumed the lodge has been shut. There were two lions meters away from when I got out of the car to remove the branches. We reversed and drove on, after 90 minutes of driving and not finding anywhere to stay we decided to drive back to Seronera Lodge which was at least a couple of hours away because the roads are terrible. On the way past Lobo Lodge I saw the lights at the lodge were on, I drove to the lobo airstrip to see if anyone was there, luckily someone was there, he told us there was a road behind the airstrip that goes to the lodge, No sign anywhere to inform clients of this. Finally we arrived at the Lodge just before 9pm tired and very hungry. The rooms floorboards creaked loudly, the bathrooms are in desperate need of repair. we were asked to pay more money for an extra room, because I had booked one room to share with my children one who is 13 another 16 years old and asked to deposit into the managers private bank account!
