LIBER HOTEL OSAKA
Great base for USJ and pretty easy to get into Osaka for everything else, also to head over to Nara for a day trip. Excellent value for money.

Nagata
Nagata is well-liked for its museums and parks. If you're hoping to get in some sightseeing, Osaka Bay and Kobe Three Kingdoms Garden are top spots, and you can jump on the metro at Komagabayashi Station or Karumo Station to get around.
