"electrical outlets are old and will not hold modern chargers due to looseness. I have suggested to management to install a modern power bar in the desk area in each room. Windows stick in or squeak in their vinyl tracks (tracks should be lubricated with jigaloo). This property needs some maintenance. I stayed 2 non consecutive nights while passing through Golden BC. However, they do seem to have renovated the floors with vinyl strips and the bathroom seems to have a newer fan with a built in heat lamp. Unfortunately, the cheap metal ring around the shower head pipe was very rusty (it would be cheap to replace that). One of the 2 rooms had an old Moen-style plastic showerhead that dribbled part of the water, while the other room was ok."

"Overall our stay at the hotel was very good. My wife and I were on our honeymoon and when mentioning this to the front desk as our reason for the stay we were upgraded at no additional cost to the honeymoon suite, though it was not expected and definitely a pleasant surprise. The facility itself was upkept and had amazing views. Though the room wasn't the cleanest. mostly everything on the surface and the things that you would interact with regularly in a hotel room were fresh and cleaned. But there was a couple aspects that could definitely use more attention than a simple wipe down. Overall, it was a terrific day and if we’re ever planning to stay in Golden again we would be willing to bring our business back."

"Beautiful hotel. Great amenities. Rooms are luxurious with high ceilings. The only complaint is a man on the balcony below us was smoking pot and the smell infiltrated our room. But I’d still give this hotel a great review. It’s in a great spot outside of town - perfect for cyclists or skiers. Note there are other condos being built around it but it wasn’t bothersome."

"Booked 2 days prior to arrival on a spur of the moment get away we brought our two dogs. They are more of a condo set up so was helpful to make breakfast in the room and have access to microwave full fridge and stove. We have previously stayed 2 years ago with our 4 kids and the suites are big. We brought a blow up bed for the youngest 2 and the oldest 2 slept on the pull out sofa the waterpark was great and the staff were friendly and helpful both times. Definitely our go to place to stay when headed to radium/fairmont"
