Although the room had a great supportive mattress & quiet air con, it is on a main road so sleep was disturbed by the occasional heavy truck in the night.
This was the least of the problems.
The sink was dirty. The sheets were stained. The shower was strong but filled with broken bits of the old shower curtain hooks.
It seems as though the hotel has just changed hands & is undergoing a refurb. They really need to close down until
it is completed. At present, this is definitely not a 3 star hotel. There is scaffolding in the hallway. Brick & cement dust everywhere. Wet paint smell permeates the whole building.
The swimming pool is full of cement & brick dust & water boatmen. Unusable. Minibar empty. I could go on but I'd be nit picking.
The final straw was the staff being shouted at outside our room & feeling the brick dust on our chests on the second morning.
I'm sure it'll be great when it's done, but it's nowhere near ready to accept guests yet.

Whole night lot of voice outside room. Staff not cooperative and understanding.

Experience at Ashirwad Heritage Resort, Kumarakom
Stayed at Ashirwad Heritage resort for two days. Had checked in past 10.30 pm and still found the staff to be very energetic and cheerful. The made me and family comfortable and the next one and a half days of the friends get together was simply great without any hick ups due to the attention given by the hotel staff for all the activities
