The rooms are always cozy and quiet, as well as the bathrooms are AMAZING here. I love the japanese style washroom as well as the beds are comfy. Only complaint is they are a little low to the ground, but the only person who had a problem with that was my parents. Other than that this property is so beautiful and quiet and low key, my favorite place to stay thank you all in Kyoto!!

We stayed in a lot of places during our trip in Japan, from hostels to high rise hotels. This little gem off the beaten path was awesome. Japanese style beds, free laundry (even had laundry soap) and stellar shower/bathing facilities. Would certainty stay here again

The location is a little more quiet than we expected (there's a beautiful castle nearby, but it's about a 30 minute walk from the main food/shopping areas) but the room itself was quite nice. The shower/bath in particular was great.

The place was very clean and quiet. It felt like we had it all to ourselves. The kimono station was a plus that’s we didn’t expect. Free coffee/tea in the lobby was nice. Shower and toilet were awesome. We loved the place and it was in a more residential area which made it more authentic. Walkable to a beautiful Shinto shrine garden and Nijo Castle. Sanjo street is a nice walk also.

Wonderfully presented cozy hidden gem. Very quiet accommodation. Modern fit out and amazing shower. Unassuming and would book again any time I'm visiting Nijo.

Great stay, has a proper laundry and drier which is generally rare. Quality beds, size of room, premium look and feel. Only gripe is the bit convoluted cloud checkin method, but its okay.

The property is very clean and lots of room for Japan standards. Has good amenities like laundry and a common area for getting on your laptop. Shower and bathroom are great. Will stay here again when visiting Kyoto. Great location for restaurants and public transportation. And great value for the price Read the description of the property carefully, this is not a hotel with room cleaning everyday.

Large room format with washer/dryer was comfortable. Amazing location for the Gion Matsuri frestival - the evening parade stopped at a shrine nearby! Nijo train station was walkable, as was Nijo-jo castle. 2 convenience stores nearby, some good restaurants also (but not as much choice as other locations).

We absolutely loved the room and location it makes it feel like you could be living there coming home to your own home, had fun chatting with the other guests as well. Would 100% stay here again! Only thing I didn't care for , and I know most people would like, is the electronic check in and precheck in system. I'm kind of old school and like doing things by paper. 10/10 recommendation!

Nice Kyoto Trip

The stay was great! Everything was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful! If the staff were not available, you were able to call someone on the tablet at the front desk and they would assist you the best they could or get someone else to assist you. One issue was that we couldn't control the temperature of the heat. We woke up in the middle of the night, two nights in a row because it was too hot and stuffy. After that we slept with the window open and we were able to sleep much better.

Incredibly spacey place for a family of 4 for Japan standards, and very fair price for the size of space as well. Incredible bathroom space with impressive water pressure. Easy access to JR line, metro, and buses. All within 10 min walk. Excellent option for people with kids. The large room option is not accessibility friendy as it is up a flight of stairs with no elevator, so that must be kept in mind. But our toddler didnt mind the stairs and we just carried our baby. Lobby staff were very kind, and very helpful. The only negative thing I have to say about the entire experience is that the ledge above the sliding shoji definitely needed to be dusted. Would stay again.

It is located in the center of the city. Clean and friendly. Accommodation rates are reasonable. However, there are not many amenities or entertainment around. There is a separate fee for replacing towels, and bedding cannot be replaced during the accommodation period, so you should refer to this when staying for several days. Overall, it is satisfactory in this price range.
