Very clean hostel, nice staff, modern communal work area with free tea and coffee all day. They have a WhatsApp group you can join, but in general I’d say the place is a 7/10 in terms of socializing (you can work it but it won’t fall into your lap).

We canceled reservations to stay here. It is extremely convenient to get up at any hour of the day/night, have a kitchen at your disposal and not have to worry about waking anyone up. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast in the morning was a perfect way to start the day. I would definitely stay here again.

Very central location. The staff is super helpful! If you like to have the option to socialize in the lobby area, this is a great place to stay. Make plans with randoms and do all sort of weird stuff. I will definitely recommend this place, and will be back if Im in Kyoto again.

Super comfortable bed/pillows. The staff were +++ incredible. We rented bikes each day to ride around the city. They were very well maintained. Highly recommend this place. When I'm back in Kyoto I'll stay here again.
