We really enjoyed our stay. Staff were super friendly and helpful and our room was very clean. You’re in walking distance to lots of restaurants and there’s a great ramen restaurant 2mins down the road!

I enjoyed my stay thoroughly. It was convenient to a bus line from which I could sightsee. It was close to Kyoto Bus Station from which I could catch trains that departed for other tourists spots. I loved the efficiency of the hotel in terms of being able to do my laundry and the hot soaking facilities. I also loved their breakfast offerings.

Check in was smooth, room very clean and well appointed. The location is about 20-25 min walk from Kyoto Station. We ended up taking the city bus for the most part to get around. Use Suica or IC card to tap off the bus. There's no tap on- just hop on and pay when you hop off. This location is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. Hotel has 4 washer/dryer combo and none were available so we crossed the street and did laundry at the laundry mat. Explored the neighborhood for an hour and came back when laundry was done. I enjoyed the stay for the quietness but would prefer a hotel closer to the train station next time.

Great sized room in Japan. The spa was so relaxing. I was surprised that to use the gym there was a small cost. The distance to the central train station and to other restaurants was a little far for walking.

We had a pleasant stay at Urban Hotel Kyoto Gojo Premium! One of the highlights was a delicious ramen restaurant just steps away from the hotel — a great spot to end the day with a comforting meal. The staff was very kind and attentive throughout our stay, and the breakfast buffet was tasty and well-prepared, with both Japanese and Western options. The room itself was modern and clean, but it felt a bit tight for a couple traveling with two young children. While it worked for a short stay, it was a bit of a squeeze with luggage and baby gear. The hotel is not far from central Kyoto, but if we were to stay in Kyoto again, we would likely look for a place closer to Kyoto Station to make transportation and sightseeing more convenient. Still, a very solid option with great service and a good value!

Good value hotel. Nice people, good facilities. Functional rooms, good beds. Pillows were hard though, and no choices. Ok location. Gym should be free though and the tv should be easier to use. The coffee machine at breakfast should be available and not covered up.

Really happy that we chose this hotel. The location is great (near the Kyoto Station for Shinkansen and close to Gion), the facilities of the hotel are superb and the service here was fantastic. My daughter was sick with a high fever on the first day of our arrival and the front desk staff (Tanikaze-san) helped me call the nearby clinics one by one and eventually helped us with an appointment. Because of that my daughter got the antibiotics she needed and her fever stopped the next day. We were all very grateful for the additional help Tanikaze-san offered. Facilities wise, we really love the big public bath facilities they offer. It's the best way to relax after a long day of tour. We booked a double bed room for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids). The room is slightly small for 4 people, but this is quite a typical set up for JP hotels until we book two rooms. So Overall, we still highly recommend this hotel!
