Suwa Villa Arenal was an absolute gem—beautiful, cozy, and just the right mix of luxurious and down-to-earth. We were greeted with fresh coconut water (loved that touch!), and the whole vibe felt super thoughtful and well put together. The villa had everything we needed: a full shared kitchen, on-site laundry with Tide Pods, even little things like disposable razors. The only thing missing was lotion, but honestly, everything else was so complete it didn’t matter.
The property only has six villas, so it feels intimate and peaceful. There's a jacuzzi and fire pit for guests, plus each room has its own little patio with chairs. I appreciated the organic and natural products used throughout ♥ Netflix was already logged in on the TV, and water in the minibar was free and restocked daily.
It’s just a short walk (200 meters!) from the town with food, shops, and excursions—though Uber is insanely cheap if you're not feeling the walk. And I can’t forget the hosts—they were incredibly kind and welcoming. Suwa was perfect. Would absolutely stay again.
ALSO I stayed at Baldi Hot Springs Resort, and honestly? Suwa Villa is 10x better. Baldi is great for a day pass to enjoy the springs, but the rooms there are pricey and not worth it.
