MET Hotel exceeded my expectation in many ways! It's located on a quiet street while convenience is not sacrificed. The front desk staff are all super friendly and helpful, who really made me feel at home. The amenities are excellent: the coca leaves readily available to eliminate high altitude symptoms, and the drinking water station with unlimited refill is such a great gesture for the wellbeing of the customers. Other detailed services, like providing slippers, gives the message of care! The room is also wonderful - clean, well proportioned, bright. The lobby is comfortable as well as artfully decorated. It was truly a great experience staying at the MET Hotel. Will definitely stay there again when I come back to La Paz!!!

staff are very helpful, breakfast was good, rooms are comfortable, and it is in a quiet neighbourhood. the only issue was that it promised on hotels.com that we will get welcome drink, and we didn't but they said that it is hotels.com mistake

The MET is a great hotel option when staying in La Paz. It’s in a great area and the hotel itself is very nice. Well kept, clean, and features great amenities from the pool and sauna to the surrounding views and room service/breakfast.

Met is a great hotel. Staff is friendly, hotel has a heated pool and jacuzzi and sauna, a good gym and a great spa. The only drawback is that it’s a little ways from the city center, and not much around here, but the hotel can arrange cabs into the city center.

I liked kind staff, comfy bed, nice breakfast and the small but cozy pool area. But there's nothing around the hotel. You have to walk many blocks or take a taxi to get to the restaurante/cafe areas to have lunch or dinner.

Great time at MET hotel La Paz

Had a great time at the MET hotel where we stayed a total of three nights during our trip to Bolivia. We had to make a last minute change to our itinerary and the hotel personnel was kind enough to accommodate us. Communication was easy and efficient, hotel was clean (and I have very high standards when it comes to this) and the food we tried at the restaurant was good. Maybe not ideal for just a layover in La Paz as it is pretty far from the airport but for visiting the city it is certainly one of your best options. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

A very modern and great hotel with lovely staff. Only improvement point was that some things seemed a bit ‘unfinished’. There was a kettle in our room but no cups or tea/coffee. The spa was lovely but no towels or drinking water etc.

Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in

This place is AMAZING! I arrived at 0500 looking like a zombie having flown overnight from Bogotá and they let me check in. Yes, I will pay $60 for more sleep, thanks! Breakfast was delicious, with loads of options. I then spent some time in the spa trying to turn myself back into a human and it was just what I needed. There’s a steam room, hot tub, and a lap pool and I had them all to myself. The room itself was gorgeous, spacious, and well furnished. I particularly appreciated a very good hair dryer when I realised the one I brought wouldn’t work. There are plenty of plugs, lighting options and a very comfy bed (although I’d have happily slept on a concrete slab when I first arrived). The view from my room was of the surrounding mountains and was so beautiful. It was National Pedestrian Day when I was there, but the hotel is a 20 min walk from a restaurant block (El Bosque Boulevard) and from Irpavi station for Mi Teleferico. I’m a woman travelling by herself and didn’t feel unsafe in the area, although all the time I spent outside was in daylight. Special mention for Ernesto on the front desk who was wonderful and so helpful. His English was brilliant, which I appreciated as my Spanish very much isn’t! He and the rest of the staff went the extra mile every time. I’ve travelled fairly widely and I’d say this is the best hotel I’ve stayed in, particularly in terms of service, amenities, design, and location, and definitely at the price point. I will 100% be back!!

Perfect respite from chaotic, incredible La Paz!

The Met was an amazing place of comfort and ease after an adventurous time through Bolivia, including the incredible Salar de Uyuni. The Met staff welcomed us with a quick, easy check in process, in English, ensuring we were aware of all of the comforts the hotel offered, including cups of coca de mate in the lobby, to ease some of the minor altitude effects we had. The team was awesome, but special thanks to Ernesto, who graciously guided my son and I through all manner of questions on where to find what locally, from restaurants to small conveniences/sundries - most of which they had on hand for guests. Our room had these cool motorized window shades that either blacked out the room for a great deep sleep, or let in the views over the Andes. I selected this particular high-tiered hotel based on the look of the bathrooms and was not disappointed. We had great water pressure and super hot water - so welcome after our days of hard trekking at high altitude! The location was excellent - SO safe yet still so interesting. While having delicious chicken soup/broth in the restaurant, we were treated to a surprise visit from one of the Met's world-class featured artists; Keiko Gonzalez, there in all the rawness of La Paz, to ensure his installation was just right! Thank you, Keiko - GDTRFB. Amazing, cool experience. Really nothing but glowing reviews for this lovely respite from chaotic, incredible La Paz!

The Met is fantastic. The staff are super helpful and the hotel is modern and great. Only thing is, it’s rather isolated. You need a taxi everywhere. And with La Paz traffic, I had to plan carefully.
