The setting is beautiful! Aldeia de Fonte Hotel is in a very lush and green part of the island, as well as near the ocean. You can hear the waves crashing on the rocks from your room. The outdoor dining area is so pretty. You feel like you are in a rainforest.

Cet hôtel possède une piscine naturelle privée juste incroyable ! Le restaurant est très agréable, sous la tonnelle avec les oiseaux. Le petit-déjeuner est vraiment très bon. La chambre et la piscine extérieure ont besoin d’un petit rafraîchissement, mais nous recommandons cet hôtel.

The grounds at this hotel are amazing! They are beautifully landscaped and the rooms are in small buildings around the property. You can walk to cliffs and there is a small balcony overlooking the ocean. The food at the restaurant is excellent. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were there during off-season and there was not always someone at the property but you could call. My reason for a lower rating is the mattresses. They are probably futon mattresses and they are very thin and hard. After two nights my joints hurt.

Das Frühstück war nicht das eines 4 Sterne Hotels. Zu wenig Abwechselung und zu dürftig. Man hat sich offensichtlich zu sehr auf der tollen Lage des Hotels ausgeruht und es wirkt ein wenig altbacken. und das Zimmer war ein wenig muffig.

Beautiful and unique hotel
Beautiful spot, very unique setting. Suite was very clean. The location is a distance from Madalena, so was a 30-45 minute drive to the ferry for Faial and some restaurants we wanted to visit. We stayed in October so there were not as many flowers and the pool wasn't as clean as expected, but the sunsets and waves were amazing, and I would guess a visit in the summer would be amazing.

Paradise location and Cory's shearwater at night
The location on the edge of the ocean, the garden and remnants of the native forest nearby were incredibly beautiful. We could hear the waves from the room, as well as the Cory's shearwater at night! What a paradise on Earth! The hotel restaurant is excellent and very popular. The bathroom had been done up recently, though the rooms need further updating.

Die Lage ist traumhaft die Bungalows sind direkt an die Felsen angepasst. Ein nettes Schwimmingpool ist vorhanden und auch ein Meerzugang. Dieser ist aber etwas mühselig über die Felsen zu erreichen. Unser Zimmer war alt und abgewohnt. Das Bett war ein selbst zusmmengebauter Kasten mit zwei Matratzen. Das Abendessen war sehr gut (Tischreservierung war notwendig). Das inkludierte Frühstück könnte umfangreicher sein

Accueil très bien mais...Restaurant moyen: nappe pas toujours remplacée après chaque client (donc parfois souillée), le service dépend de la personne qui s'occupe de vous (jeune aimable, vieux grincheux voir rude), pour obtenir l'addition nous avons même du nous lever pour la chercher alors que trois seurveurs bavardaient au bar voisin; poisson grillé trop cuit et sans sauce, petit déjeuner: choix restreint si vous n'arrivez pas dans les premiers. Lits super durs (les plus durs de tout notre séjour), planche de toilette mal fixée, store occultant abîmé. A notre arrivée, la chambre avait été nettoyée avec un produit au parfum si concentré que c'était désagréable; Il a fallu 2 jours pour que cette odeur disparaisse. Y a-t-il eu un problème dans cette chambre?

Good location near Lajes, car necessary though to explore the island. Rooms a little dated but good standard. Breakfast average. Expensive by Azores standards.

Cozy corner of the world to settle into
This is truly a hidden gem. I wanted to check in for a month and not leave! It's a very cozy place, perched on the side of a rocky cliff, with countless trails and places to sit down and finish a good book. The on-site restaurant was very good and had a wonderful setting. Wifi was strong as well and I appreciated the gym. This is not a luxury property... but it has good bones. It's been lived in for a while, but it was so visionary and wonderful when it was built, that it has a lot more living left to do. I truly hope to return to this place one day.

The room was spotless, the view from our room was amazing and the staff were the most friendly helpful people we’ve ever met. The two people at the front desk went out of their way answer all of our questions and even gave us help in locating some people we knew from the island. I also must compliment the staff in the restaurant, both at lunch and dinner, they too were helpful in every way possible. This property should very grateful to have such fine people working for them! This is definitely a place we will return too!

We wouldn't book it again
Unfortunately our experience really doesn't match with the reviews of the other guests. We had trusted them and therefore booked Aldeia da Fonte Hotel-Apartamentos. Lets look at the details 1. Location Yes, the location is nice and fits beautifully in the surrounding landscape. But keep in mind there is nothing around there. The next village, Lajes do Pico, with shops and restaurants is 4km distance. So you need a car or you will have to walk 45 minutes to go there and 45 minutes back. 2. Room Our room was in the basement. All houses got such a room. Avoid it ! It is quite dark and cold. Has no terrace or balcony. Real basement feeling. The bathroom is a little bit outdated. Furnishing OK, but nothing fancy. Cleaness OK. TV really small. OK, were were not there to watch TV :) 3.Breakfast To be honest the breakfast was one of the worst I ever had in a hotel. Some choices, bad all of them of very low quality. "Formel-1 style" The orange juice was horrible, the coffee had a very bad taste. I didn't know that it would be possible to get such bad cheese on Azores. Bread rolls and cakes not fresh ... I would say the place is overprized. Doesn't provide what you expect from a **** place. Can imagine you'll get something better for less money in Lajes do Pico

Ruim klassiek hotel dichtbij de jachthaven
Ruim, net en klassiek hotel met mooi zicht op de jachthaven en het eiland Pico. Aangename kamers en publieke ruimtes (lobby, lounge en restaurant). Het hotel bevindt zich in de nabijheid van de jachthaven en er zijn verschillende erg goede restaurants in de buurt. Wagenverhuur is om de hoek.

Sehr schön gelegene Anlage..leider schon etwas alt,dennoch sauber und keinenfalls veraltet. Das dazugehörende Restaurant gehört sicherlich zu den besten auf der Insel. Grosser Minuspunkt sind die hsrten und mit 1.90 def zu kurzen Betten.

Geweldige locatie en een uitstekend restaurant. Personeel is erg vriendelijke en behulpzaam. De kamer/het appartement was ruim van opzet en schoon. Heerlijk zwembad met uitzicht over de oceaan, maar ook een voorziening om in de oceaan zelf te zwemmen. Tijdens ons verblijf hebben we elke avond in het restaurant gegeten, voldoende variatie en hoge kwaliteit.

Wow ! What a BEAUTIFUL hotel! We stayed in one of the suits and was very pleased with everything! The service was amazing and kind! The facilities very nice and the pool area and sea area was very relaxing and perfect! The restaurant served great breakfast and great dinner and was very romantic! All in all just beautiful!
