“The house is a good place to stay if you need ample room and want a quiet retreat in Saranac Lake. Its not on the water but within a short drive of downtown and the lakes. If you have mobility issues this isn’t the place for you as the stairs to the second floor are very steep and there are floor level changes. “We stayed at the”Blackhaus” January 19-23. The house was perfect for our 3 teenage boys and my wife and I. It is a bit off the road which offers serenity and peace. The house is well appointed and met all of our needs. It is located just about 8 minutes from whiteface ski resort and about 22 minutes to lake placid. I Will definitely stay here again. ”

We especially enjoyed the screened-in porch and the swimming area and kayaks that were available for guest use.
