Cadence is such a lovely spot, the rooms are so clean, it's in a beautiful location convenient to so many activities and the staff and owners are wonderful! They treat you like family. They have an incredible restaurant on site that is one of the best in the area, their breakfast is plentiful and delicious. I love that they have a gathering area that is heated in all seasons that offers a place outside your room to relax by either an indoor or outdoor fire a must in the ADK!

This stay was great! The beds were very comfortable, very clean and the hospitality was perfect. This hotel was very close to the Mt. Whiteface auto road and not that far from Lake Placid that was on our list of places to visit. I would recommend this to anyone and I would come back again.

Don & Shelley are the perfect hosts. They made us feel right at home. The room was spotless and smelled wonderfully clean. You MUST eat dinner at the Lodge. Don is an awesome chef - food is delicious! The added "room" outside for guests to sit by the huge gas fireplace to read, play board games or just sit, relax and socialize. We stayed 2 nights to enjoy the Whiteface Mountain/Lake Placid area. Very close to attractions. It was the perfect getaway for couples.

This is our happy place. Rooms are nice, restaurant is absolutely fantastic and the staff are accommodating. If you want housekeeping, you just text them for it. I think our king mattress (room 33) could use a newer mattress but still slept very well. They light a fire pit outside with wood but I have asthma and they didnโ€™t light it unless someone specifically asked. Love! The pavilion (The Porterhouse) has a great gas fireplace and we enjoyed watching football in there on the bar tv. A great place to stay at a reasonable price with fantastic amenities in the Adirondacks. Not far from Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain. Highly recommend!!!

Rooms were very clean and comfortable! Bathroom a little small. There were shampoos and soaps. There also was a refrigerator which was great! It was quiet. Unfortunately we could not get into the community kitchen to use the microwave because it was locked all day. I went to the desk to find someone to inquire and there was no one there. I went around the corner and saw a man inside another area and inquired and he told me our room key unlocked it. That would have been good information to receive at check-in. We ate at the restaurant one night and the food was very good but pricey. I would rather have had a microwave in our room than in the community kitchen which was clean but needs repairs. But all in all, it was a pleasant stay and we slept so sound on those clean comfortable beds!!

Stayed here one night. Appreciated the drive up to door for unloading luggage. Staff was responsive and very helpful. Room was near perfect, only request would be a desk to work at, but understand the is a vacation lodge and probably isn't needed by most folks. Just down the street from Whiteface. Mountain entrance. The room was spacious for a couple. Would absolutely stay here again.
