"I loved this hotel. The location was spectacular on the water and right in old town. The restaurant downstairs was terrific. Great food and excellent service. Our room was kind of small as many are in Europe but it was very clean and comfortable."

"We found the hotel extremely convenient for the station and for general sightseeing. The staff, in particular the breakfast team, were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was comprehensive and plentiful and of good quality. Access to drinks and tea and coffee 24/7 was a big bonus. The room and bed were very comfortable. The only criticism I have is that the shower in 104 is low for tall people. I knocked my head on the cross beam a number of times. Also a rubber mat would be useful as getting out of the bath around the fixed shower screen was a bit tricky. Otherwise a brilliant stay."

"It's a beautiful hotel with spectacular views. The hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful. I would have expected the room to be a bit larger for the price, and breakfast at the restaurant was exorbitant. It's right on the lake, and within walking distance to just about everything."

"Beautiful property and I’d likely stay again. Just some simple things for them to adjust. We travelled for 10 days to different cities. This was the first hotel which did not have the sofa bed ready when we checked in. No big deal, they turned down the bed after I asked. Unfortunately sofa bed itself was in poor condition. The second night, I asked them for a mattress topper which they provided. Rooms are very nice but some of the light switches did not work and some bulbs were burnt out. Lastly, we were traveling with our teenage daughter. Our bathroom did not have a door which meant dad had to leave the room when she needed to shower. A bit odd that they would have put us in that style room (couples room) - or at least have it mentioned somewhere during booking or checkin. Other than that, beautiful property, nice staff and convenient to have a shuttle van to the station. Although on my y a few minutes walk from Grindelwald station - uphill."

"Room was cosy, but no tea/coffee making items. Room and ensuite nice and clean. Staff were very helpful and informative. Breakfast was good with large variety of foods avail. Was within walking distance of attractions and old city. Would stay again if visiting Luzerne."
