“Bar was shut by the time I arrived but, parking was good and the staff waited for me. As i had been travelling for over two and a half hours i was happy to see them.”

“Despite being very close to the M4, the room we stayed in was quiet, comfortable and clean. Well maintained public rooms as well. All the staff from check in, bar staff, waiting staff and the maids were very pleasant, helpful and considerate. Nothing was too much trouble. Good value for money & as much breakfast as you need. Thank you.”

“Parking was a bit of an adventure and it didn't mention that parking was £25 for overnight. Plenty of bars to eat and drink, thought £12 for 2 pepsi was a bit much but it is a fantastic place. Dinner in the grill was exceptionally good and descent price. Breakfast was best £9 each i have ever spent, but book it with booking or it £24 each in hotel. The breakfast had everything you could possible want and every ingredient was of excellent quality. Highly recommend this hotel. We plan to go back...

“Could have done with a king size bed instead of a double bed but that is my preference. Air conditioning was non existent or I just couldn’t work it. But there was a tower fan in the room that helped. Over all good stay.”

“Excellent aircon and great staff - particularly in the breakfast room. Very interesting art work throughout the hotel and fabulous location. Oh yes the views were fantastic too! Will be back.”

“The rooms were nice and clean. The only downside was there was no air conditioning so the room was very hot and we only had a small fan. The spa was lovely , the pool was great.”

“Stayed here many many times when working in the area and always find it clean and comfortable. Unfortunately on this occasion I was disappointed in room (207) as the window would not close and the room faces onto the busy main road which is very noisy. Also the TV was broken so had no choice but to listen to the boy racers and motorbikes outside instead. Just unlucky it was the last double room available. However that said I'm sure the issues will be rectified by the wonderful staff at Ponty...

“We have stayed here before several times but this time was really disappointing. We booked an accessible room but on arrival we were told this wasn't available and we were on the first floor. It was fortunate my operation for a knee replacement was postponed or I wouldn't have managed the stairs (no lift). The first floor room was stifling as it was during the ongoing heatwave. No fan provided. We went straight to get a cold drink (having driven 200 miles we were parched). Ordered the drinks...

“My overall assessment on the stay would rate it no more than a three star. There are some minor maintenance issues that need to be looked into. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was very good and the full English was excellent. The idea of filling out what you wanted for breakfast the previous day was not really how I would like it as this might change, I would prefer to decide on the day. Conclusion: The accommodation was a little tired and in need of a spruce up.”

“It’s a good answer if you have an impossibly early flight like we did. We did the twilight check in the night before as it’s a steep walk for 7-10 minutes in the open to the terminal. We had babies and toddlers and three large suitcases in pouring rain at 4.30 am. Not fun. They should have some kind of golf cart shuttle service to take people to the terminal - we would have happily paid for it”
