The evening service for dinner always started well but by the end staff disappeared and it was difficult to finish our meal properly. More attention required. The layout of the bathroom is precarious and could cause an accident. The views from the room and restaurant were fantastic. The lift from reception to the ground floor is really a trade lift and not suitable for passengers.

Overall a nice place. Good stuff: The beach was only a 4 minute walk, also short walks to bus, grocery store, taxi stand, and many restaurants/stores. Annoying: we had to sit sideways on the toilet due to close proximity to the wall, and we are average height. A little strange for us (Americans): no washcloths nor top sheet on the bed (only a comfortor)

Lucas was friendly and informative especially about the local tapas. Room comfortable but no free room upgrade available. Nice pool area but insufficient sunloungers.- unheated pool very cold!

Excellent view

Good location, close to the Canteras beach, and the bus stop. The pool at the roof is a big plus, with an excellent 360-view of Las Palmas. Rooms are so-so, the bathroom needs renovation and the hotel itself is quite neutral/boring. We did not use the restaurant/bar, so no comment on that. The view is spectatular there too.

The property is well located between the beach and the cruise port with wonderful views from the higher floors. The immediate area around the hotel is a bit run down and crowded with noisy traffic. The desk staff were friendly and accommodating. The cleaning staff could be more thorough and consistent. We stayed for 12 nights and our bed linen was only changed twice - when requested.

The hotel is located about a 5 minute walk from Santa Catalina bus station, which is a great way of getting to/from other parts of the island. The area around the elevator on the 14th floor smelled of dampness and mold but there was a sign indicating that they were resolving an issue. Aside from that the hotel and the room were very clean. The room was a good size and had a balcony with an amazing view of the city and the ocean. The fitness centre was small but had enough equipment to work with.

Great bed, everything else is average

Property is old. Elevator from street level to lobby is very hard to use. Elevators inside hotel are old and slow. Several guests were checking in at the same time. Our person was more worried about others than us and took longer than normal because he kept jumping into their conversations. Bed comfort level was superb! Unfortunately after we were asleep, we were woken up by room service trying to deliver someone else's order. No apologies received. I would stay here again for the price paid.

If you like clean, stay elsewhere

Biggest issue was lack of cleanliness, the entire room was filthy. Wanted to have a nice bath but all around the bath was so dirty i could wipe off the dirt with ease, then the bath plug was covered in black filth, just gross. Fixtures in room haven’t been wiped for months covered in thick dust. Cigarette stumps on balcony, someone else’s hair on the sink upon arrival. Bed on one side was worn down felt like sleeping on a hill. We didn’t get a maid service on our second day which I find odd in a 5* hotel usually get a daily freshen up but nothing. Corridors smelt like damp. On a plus side, the lounge on 23rd floor was lovely with nice service and nice views and the location was great for us. Needs a huge renovation and new cleaners, won’t be staying again.

The AC Marriott Eduardo Benot, Las Palmas Gran Canary is located conveniently across from restaurants and a shopping mall. Very nice rooftop bar!
