Wonderful stay!
This was our first trip to Crete and our first impressions were good - on arrival we were taken by buggy to reception from the car park, bags whisked away. Check in was very smooth with a welcome glass of bubbly. We were shown around the resort and taken to our room. This was a classic bungalow sea view - unfortunately there were a few issues with the room which were resolved over the first couple of days. The room was large, nicely laid out with a small secluded garden area. It is in need of renovation but was very comfortable. We were moved to another room for the last two days which was an island bungalow waterfront room which was fabulous!! Grounds, beach and pool all immaculate. Breakfast was wonderful - every choice there in buffet and great service and views. Beach staff were incredibly helpful and friendly too. Joanna our concierge was always available and resolved our queries quickly and efficiently. Elounda is a short taxi (€8 each way) ride which has nice restaurants too. It’s the staff predominantly then the grounds, location and food that absolutely win the prizes here and we will hopefully be back!!

Grosse, schöne Grün-Anlage, sehr gepflegt, Tip-topes Bungalow-Zimmer mit grossem Sitzplatz und Privat-Garten, Obwohl schon älter ist das Zimmer gepflegt und laufend renoviert worden (zB. A beautiful resort hotel, a 3-minute walk from the beach, with a friendly, helpful and efficient staff. We were in a bungalow-type room, with private entrance and a deck with comfortable lounge chairs and an umbrella that provided enough shade that we could be outdoors most hours of the day. Our only complaint was that the bathroom didn't have a real shower, just a hand-held, with no place to put the shower head. The jacuzzi tub was fun, but for those of us who prefer showers to baths, it was inconvenient. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nearly a perfect Oasis .......
The location of this hotel is fantastic, about 40 minutes drive from Heraklion Airport and on a very scenic route. It is in the most beautiful setting, in fact we didn't leave the complex for 7 days as it was so tranquil. The staff particularly at breakfast are so attentive and friendly, they understand customer service perfectly. The food is exceptional and we tried each of the restaurants before sticking with our two favourite's which were the find dining at Dionyissus and the Greek Taverna. I would mention several downsides:- Whilst the bungalow was cleaned every day and fresh towels are always available, the sheets didn't get changed once in 7 days and the room cleaning wasn't very thorough. The floors were dirty and the picture window overlooking the sea from the bathroom which is a big selling feature was smeared and marked. Whilst you are offered exactly the same beverages menu in each of the restaurants, the measurements and servings were not at all consistent and are considerably over-priced, which is a real shame. The website is also not up to date and where it mentions an on-site buffet in the evening, its only available in the next door hotel, the Elounda Palace. The site also mentions an amphitheatre for films and performances which also doesn't seem to be available. None of the above spolit our visit and we will definitely visit this hotel again, but maybe only stay B & B and get a hire car to ensure more variety and fairer prices in the evening.

Excellent service, staff always smiling and ready to help, wonderful sea front view, intimate bungalow with very close nearly private access to turquoise sea, excellent food, pool with sea water, wonderful Chenot spa, feeling in a little village (despite quite important capacity, always feeling privacy and quietness) with its church and little square, beautiful trees and flowers, views on a line of mountains. All the amenities of a fine resort.
My wife an I loved our stay. This resort is offered high end accommodations at a reasonable price, granted, nearing the end of the season (October). The staff were "excellent" from checkin to checkout, they give a very personalized experience. It was nearing the end of the season and we were upgraded to a very nice room, with more space and a view to die for. We loved our experience.

Very enjoyable holiday.
Excellant hotel. Very pleased we chose it. Glad we hired a car which is a good option for both going to other parts of the island and going out in the area. Glad we were in Elounda has a number of excellent restaurants. Food in the hotel was also excellent . We ate in the Italian restaurant but found a two course meal too expensive to sustain every evening.

Not what we expected
This is ultimately a resort. We went to Crete looking to get to know the island, eat locally, see sites etc. This resort is located a decent distance from the neighbouring towns. The idea is to stay on site for activities and to eat. We wanted to see more of the island rather than sit poolside. They also have restaurants of different cuisines on site, while we were looking to eat local Greek food. We did eat at the pool bar one day and the food was aweful and expensive. The breakfast was tasty but very Americanized. A good place to go to relax and stay on a resort, not the place to get to know and see Greece.

Luxurious, family oriented resort
This resort deserves its five star rating. It has all of the amenities that you would expect but what sets it apart is the staff. The clientele is mostly European but the resort is very family friendly. The only slight minus was the dining options. We were on a half board, meaning we got breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was great but dinner got a bit monotonous. The resort offered a 25 Euro discount per person if you wanted to eat at another restaurant at the resort. We tried it and it was not worth the expense. Lunch was at our own expense and without the 25 Euro discount, the emphasis is on expense. Food was great and service was even greater but we racked up a considerable bill. Also to keep in mind, there is a dress code for men at dinner. Long pants are required. This was ignored by many of the guests but it's worth keeping in mind when packing! Bottom line is this is a great resort in a beautiful setting. We would definitely go back!

Bokade en bungalow med havsutsikt. Fösta rummet vi fick var litet och med begränsad havsutsikt, dessutom kändes det aningen "unket". När vi nämnde detta för personalen så gjorde de allt för att hitta ett rum som motsvarade våra förväntningar, och de lyckades med bravur. För en liten extra kostnad blev vi uppgraderade till en bungalow précis vid havet, med en fantastisk utsikt och ett riktigt fint och lyxigt rum. Bara några trappsteg ner och sen hoppa rakt I havet - fantastiskt avkopplande och privat läge, vi kommer definitivt att åka tillbaka!

Lovely hotel with great staff!
Overall we really enjoyed the resorts and thought the resort facilities and people were great. The room we booked, the most basic - Luxury Room, Sea View (Elounda Building) was quiet small and a bit out dated. Fortunately we weren't there at peak season and the wonderful staff were able to move us to a better room (Deluxe room in Imperial building) part way through our stay. My suggestions is that it is worth staying at a higher level room in this resort as the most basic level is quite small and a bit out dated. There are a few beaches to choose from, we were always able to get lounge chairs easily and the sea is lovely to swim in. We also loved the water aerobics class that was held daily in the sea at the sister resort Elounda Bay. The restaurants were lovely setting and delicious meals.

The room was cleaned twice a day. Breakfast and the dinners in the 5 different types of restaurant on the compound were ok and the average price for a dinner was 43 euros per couple including drinks. The hotel staff was wonderful. My wife forgot her inhaler and the staff bought and delivered one to our room within 30 minutes. The facilities in the hotel on the other hand where very expensive e.g. Basic Massage 50 min for 150 euros. In general it was beautiful. Highly recommended!!!!

EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS
Wasn't sure what to expect, but from the first minute, both my wife and I were extremely pleased we had picked this hotel. The staff, bar none, were all so friendly and accommodating. received a complimentary room upgrade, which was a pleasant surprise. Restaurants were good and the beach was fab. Would thoroughly recommend anyone staying here.

Great Hotel!
We had a great experience at the Elounda Hotel & Villas! We would highly recommend the seaview villas, which are right on the water, with a large deck overlooking the beautiful Meditaranean! They are a bit more pricey, but definitely worth it. The staff was terrific. They were all very friendly, spoke great English, remembered our names, and our drink preferences, and were very accommodating with any and all requests. We would also highly recommend Ivan (in the scuba shop) and all the great water activities. My son went scuba diving and said it was great, and my daughter and I took a scuba lesson from Ivan. he was fun to work with, and we felt very comfortable on our first scuba outing. The hotel grounds are lovely, and there are plenty of places to spread out. You spend time at the pool or the beach, both of which are gorgeous. There are also lots of water activities, such as jet skis, paddle boards, water skiing, etc. It is definitely kid friendly, but certainly quiet enough for couples.

Great staff, hotel needs a facelift
When we booked this hotel all of the pictures were from the new part of the hotel which is certainly not where we were staying. The decor is very tired and some of the appliances are from the dark ages. We did however receive some great service from the staff and the food was of a high quality. We were at the hotel for 2 weeks and passed the general manager on many occasions but he didn't even attempt to make eye contact with us which I found a little rude, especially when all of the rest of the staff couldn't do enough for us. I wouldn't return unless there is a facelift of the decor and an attitude overhaul of the management team.

Excellent séjour
Nous avons séjourné avec ma compagne dans cette hôtel quelques jours en avril. Ce lieu est paradisiaque. Très calme avec un immense parc pour se balader, une vue magnifique sur la mer, une diversité de paysage, de très belles infrastructures (plusieurs plages, jetées, piscines, parc, etc). La nourriture est délicieuse avec un buffet très riche, varié et fait maison visiblement. Enfin le personnel est adorable, très accueillant mais sait également rester en retrait. Cet hôtel est vraiment à conseiller et on s'y sent comme chez soit. La vue de la chambre 404 sur la mer est magnifique.

This Hotel is hands down one of the best i ve stayed at anywhere in the world for Seaside Resorts...The area (Agios Nikolas and Plaka are so close) ,the Sea (tranquil and crystal Clear waters) , the hotel is in in Excellent shape down to the bathrooms at the beach. rent a Luxury villa if you can.. amazing is all i can say... The best part ....The people...They are all professional and sincere...they are so helpful and happy for you to be there...thank you all for making our trip so PERFECT...cant wait to come back..

A stunning hotel in a beautiful location
We chose a week at the Elounda Beach to celebrate our wedding anniversary and from the moment we arrived it was like a second honeymoon. As soon as we came through the front gate the elegance and peace of the resort struck us. The staff at reception were appropriately attentive and made us feel very welcome. Our suite was beautifully laid out with a stunning sea view - if the rest of the hotel hadn't been so stunning we would have loved to have spent even more time there. Lounging under the olive trees by the white sandy beach was the perfect way to relax during the day with the occasional swim in the crystal clear waters to cool down. All of the restaurants were excellent covering a range of cuisines and with superb wine lists (the local Cretan wines were a revelation). Service was impeccable. Half board is thoroughly recommended as you will not want to venture far from the resort. A nice touch was the decorated chocolate gateau we were presented with at dinner on our anniversary. We thoroughly recommend the resort and look forward to returning in the future.
