"Sheen Falls Lodge is a beautiful property, with nice amenities. Unfortunately, we were unable to take advantage of the fishing opportunity as it was fully booked. We were able to take a horse back ride, but I found it rather expensive, especially considering the price we paid for the room. The restaurant service was lacking. We asked for three wines before finding one they had in stock - this was in the Stable restaurant and the overall experience there caused us to cancel our reservation for the following night in the hotel restaurant. Overall experience left me sad that this beautiful property is not being managed better for the price one pays."
"Very clean room and helpful staff. Small room and bathroom with not enough room to place our large suitcase or bathroom potions. We did choose a cozy room at an economical price but our friends also commented on their cruise-sized bathroom. Another shelf for toiletries would’ve been helpful and a suitcase stand instead of a chair. Lobby and bar area are lovely and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again."
"Great location overlooking the bay. Nice restaurant. Older historic property but well maintained and nice. Rooms and bathrooms were nice but slightly small. No AC - usually none needed but very warm when we were there. You can open the windows which helps."
"House 15 was such a gem in Kenmore. From the start, Caroline was so welcoming and delightful. The room was spacious, clean and tastefully designed. Caroline had great recommendations for us around town. Breakfast the next morning was delicious! If I find myself back in Kenmare, I would definitely stay here again."
"What an amazing stay at the Butler Arms Hotel in Waterville. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The hotel is spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and the views are absolutely stunning.
The greeting we received was exceptional. The gentleman called Brian who welcomed us went above and beyond, finding us a parking space and personally showing us to our room. That level of personal service really makes a difference.
Every single member of staff we encountered was friendly, attentive and genuinely committed to making our stay enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble.
Breakfast was also excellent, with a great choice and everything prepared to a very high standard.
We also had a fantastic meal at Charlie’s Restaurant. The food was top quality. My wife had the steak, which was absolutely outstanding, while the scallops were equally delicious.
Overall, a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. Fantastic hotel, amazing views, exceptional staff and superb food. We would highly recommend the Butler Arms Hotel and Charlie’s Restaurant and would definitely return."
"The hotel was very nice. Clean room. Restaurant had very tasty food. Convenient to local shops. Underground off street parking.
Would recommend and will book again if visiting again."
