J’avais pourtant demandé une chambre supérieure, mais on m’a attribué une chambre en rez-de-chaussée qui ressemblait à une catégorie économique oubliée des années 70 : odeur d’humidité persistante, salle de bain minuscule et dans son jus, serviettes d’entrée de gamme. Pas d’acceuil. Pour un établissement noté au-dessus de 9/10, je m’attendais à tout autre chose. Il y a manifestement un décalage entre la réputation en ligne et la réalité sur place.”

We were asked what time we would like breakfast and did we want tea or coffee When we arrived in the dining room or breakfast was laid out for us on the table Natural yogurt.apple juice,fruit,various breads butter homemade quince jam and cheese.when we were eating Madame brought in fresh scrambled eggs…from her hens.”

“Matthew (spelled diff in France) was an excellent host and was quick with any questions we had about the area. We have no complaints at all! The breakfast is what we expected, room cleaned each day. One block from the marina and restaurant choices. my wife's only complaint was the French eat dinner so late! D-day festivities were close enough for a quick drive down country roads. Love the area. Will definitely stay again! ”

“Le personnel était très gentil et professionnel, c’est vraiment ce que j’ai le plus apprécié ! La chambre était spacieuse et propre. Ce que j’ai moins apprécié c’est la salle de bain car selon ma réservation j’aurais dû bénéficier d’une baignoire et ça n’était pas le cas, il y avait très peu de produit gel douche et shampooing dans le contenant, insuffisant pour deux personnes ! Les petites serviettes étaient très abîmées. Le petit déjeuner était correct mais choix insuffisant.”

“Don't be put off by the 2☆ rating. This wee hotel is good. The staff are friendly, maid service prompt and efficient and location is excellent. Pretty much central in town and lot's of cafes and restaurant's on the doorstep. The rooms are clean and spacious, however a little outdated. I have stayed in 4☆'s that were worse though..The bed is comfortable. Negatives are over the weekend it gets noisy from midnight until around 3/4am due to proximity of late opening bars. Not a big issue though.....
