"Amazing stay! Wonderful pool, fresh and hearty breakfast. Franco is a gem, gave me the best recommendations nearby. Cutest kittens on the property and the sweetest and best trained German Shepard. It is somewhat rural, so the road going up is a little bumpy but totally manageable if you go slow. Definitely recommend."

"The palazzo is a lovely old house in the center of town right off the main square. The secret sauce here is the large, beautiful garden in back and the extremely personalized service. The staff makes every effort to please and assist. The general approach is thoughtful and old school in a nice way. We had a large room facing the street that was comfortable with high ceilings and lots of space. Bernalda, at first, seems like a not particularly lovely little town but it does grow on you. The house is infused by the interests and personality of the owner Francis Ford Coppola -- probably the principal reason most people visit. Fortunately, the hotel mostly lives up to the expectations..."
