A lovely hotel next to the park, quiet. The room was spacious and clean though better lighting was needed.it was a little dark. The bed was large and very comfortable. Aku is a mid range hotel. Nothing to write home about but friendly staff with clean and tidy rooms. Close to shops and restaurants and a nice big park. Safe area. Cheap bathroom accessories. Very expensive restaurant and bar area. Breakfast also very expensive. Go across the street the cafe is half the price.

Nice hotel in the San Isidro district. The area around the hotel is fairly quiet (for Lima), and is walkable to some phenomenal restaurants, a nice church, Bosque El Olivar (a beautiful park very near the hotel), and is overall very nice, central, and safe. The hotel itself is pretty modern and well staffed. The room was comfortable and clean (under the bed was a bit dusty, but everything else was fine). Would definitely recommend staying.

The staff there was very understanding and eager to help. When one of my tours got messed up the staff called the tour operator and went to bat for me. Also there is a wonderful park nearby (Barque de Olivar) with large grassed area and lots of olive trees and security. A great walk every morning to get you in the right mood. I plan to return there.
