Clean place to stay with nice businesses nearby. No elevator, a little far from public transport, not a super social hostel, and most importantly NO AC - just a little fan. Was very hot in July and we ended up sleeping with the window wide open for some air flow.

Bed is super comfy and the room was pretty clean and big. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. Great facilities with a nice kitchen and free coffee and tea. Highly recommend!

Would recommend. Great spot to walk around to all the little neighbourhoods, the employees were very very friendly and helpful. I booked a solo room and it was beautiful and I was super impressed especially considering the price.

The entire space is rather run down unfortunately. On my first night there a roach was in the bathroom and then in my room the next night I saw another. They clean regularly, but I don't think that makes much of a difference with a place so run down. Also, no more complimentary coffee, bummer. If you're on a budget and don't mind these things it's fine, the neighborhood is in a good location, very walkable and the staff are kind and helpful.

We had a fantastic greeting from the hosts and they allowed us to check in early as the room was ready. We were beyond grateful after having a long travel day. Free coffee in the morning was a bonus! The only downside was that the oven in the communal kitchen wasn’t working at the time. It was in a convenient location and would stay here again.

This is a great little hostel hidden in the streets of Lisbon. It is in a quiet area and the windows face the street. It is very quiet (we stayed one night on a Tuesday). The metro is a few minute walk or you could walk to the historic centre if you are able bodied. The bathrooms are clean and shared. The rooms have electronic keys and the showers/bathrooms have locks. The rooms are big, very basic, but perfect for a quick stay. The room had a fan which was absolutely amazing as it has no air conditioning and Lisbon is very hot still in September. The pizza place Jezzus down the street is excellent and they free pour their glasses of wine. I would recommend this hotel over some of the hotels purely because it was quiet and comfortable enough. Note, there is no elevator and stairs only. Staff spoke excellent English and explained everything very well.

Great service from the staff and clean rooms and bathrooms. Noise level was also almost non-existent at night. Only negative had nothing to do with the hostel. There was a bit of construction in the area in front of the hostel but the hostel has no control over that.

Simple check-in and out. Hostel with stairs only, it’s hard for you to carry large luggage when you have a room at third or forth floor.

The location, staff and property are all fantastic ! It’s an easy walk to the main shopping and dining areas . The rooms were very clean and simple. The one drawback is that each room has a really strong green light in it which , I assume is the exit light . In the dorm rooms it’s not an issue on the lower bunks as you have a bed above you and privacy curtains. On the upper bunk and private rooms it’s a real issue so make sure you have an eye mask . The showers are inside a really small cubicle, so slim people will be ok but others are going to have an issue. All round great stay though

Green Heart has heart & its green friendly

Receptionist waited for my delayed late arrival @ 23:00. Her friend helped me with bags up to the 4th floor. Next day, receptionist gave me a map & I was able to navigate walk, metro, bus & train nicely. I was able to dry wet clothes out my window I loved the coffee machine. Guests were respectful & tidy. Good experience, especially with new friends gathering in my private room comfortably. Terrific bar next door, Canil showcases its own brew with other excellent choices, and with live music by 2 Brazilian guitarists/harmonica!
