Our stay here was easily one of the best holiday experiences we’ve ever had. The staff were exemplary, the food and drink were excellent, the pool and spa lovely, and the hotel is just a short walk from the beach. Brimming with history and charming grandeur, it was noticeable how many guests were returning visitors to the Palácio Estoril Hotel. I’m sure we’ll be among them.

The hotel is housed in a beautiful historic building with a fascinating past. Many famous personalities have stayed here over the years, and their visits are commemorated through photographs displayed throughout the hotel. The swimming pool is wonderful. There is also a fitness center in the neighboring Wellness Center, conveniently connected to the hotel by an underground passage. The ocean is nearby, and the charming town of Cascais, with its many restaurants, is within easy walking distance. Lisbon is also very easy to reach by train. The station is just a five-minute walk from the hotel, and the journey takes approximately 30 minutes. The breakfasts are excellent, and we truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality. We will definitely be back!

Old school luxury. Pool was lovely and comfortable. Wish they did poolside service, but otherwise it was great. Amazing breakfast buffet. Lovely escape for couples or a solo traveler. Will go back!

This was our second stay at Palacio in the past few years. Absolutely everything about this place is next level exquisite! The staff, amazing and friendly. The feel, historical luxury but somehow without any pretentiousness. Great location, nice walk beside the Atlantic to get from Estoril into Cascais. Breakfast absolutely devine! Great pool that invites you to spend hours relaxing next to it with the backdrop of this beautiful grand old hotel. This place is a must stay if in this area!

Nearly everything at the Palacio was pitch perfect. The staff are amazing; they never refused an accommodation, no matter how ususual. Breakfasts are served from 7:30 to 10:30 am, a full three hours. Access to the Banyan Tree sauna/steam rooms/jacuzzi pool are included in the experience at no extra cost. Naturally, no hotel is perfect, however, and even the Palacio could make a few improvements. Among these, I believe the hotel should expand the number and variety of cable/TV channels to something approaching that of comparable hotels found in the US or UK; I also think the bathrooms should updated to include safety hand bars in the bath tubs as well as more towel racks; finally, the hotel should install a new elevator in the lobby (at present, there are only two, and during our recent two-week stay, one of those two was not running at all). Apart from these minor annoyances, we loved our time there, and hope to return. We would give the Palacio our very strongest recommendation.

City trup as a couple. Hotel is weel located and maintained. a little old fashioned but if this is your type of accommodation, you will love it! With a slight feeling of going back in time (early 1900s), the staff is very well trained and professional.

The room was well presented with 2 single beds, plenty of wardrobe and storage space and a spacious bathroom. The shower was over the bath which could prove difficult for someone with limited mobility. The beds were turned down in the evening which was a nice touch. Housekeeping work extremely hard and do an excellent job. The small balcony overlooked the garden and pool. The pool was a little bit cold especially for young children. Sunloungers were comfortable and available the majority of the time the pool bar had a limited variety of drinks and menu. The pool staff were great and would help move loungers and open parasols. Service at the bar was, on occasions, slow and it would be nice if staff were more attentive and took orders from the loungers. Breakfast was plentiful, but again, service was hit and miss with coffees etc being requested upto 4 times before appearing. Due to flying at 8 pm, we were able to keep our rooms free of charge until 5pm which was very useful. Apart from the 5 star price, I’m not entirely convinced this is a 5 star hotel.
