On check in the room was so cold there was ice building up in the toilet water. It took about 4 hours to warm the room up to a livable temperature. We were told we would be getting a kitchenette room, but the room only had a fridge and microwave. Was difficult to get restocked in the room with things like toilet paper.

A rural setting, by a river. Peaceful, even though by a busy highway. Inside our room it’s quiet. Spacious room, comfortable bed. Reasonably priced.

So disappointed with our one night stay. We had stayed here a few years ago and liked it. So it was our choice again for this trip. We were SO disappointed. And won’t be staying here again. The property looks run down, dirty and cluttered. Water hoses across the sidewalk creating a tripping hazard. Little to no conversation when we were checking in from the desk clerk. No lights on when we entered the front desk area - what a weird vibe. Went to our room to unload, found it was just the bare minimum and furnishings were very worn, also had some “dust bunnies” around the room. One of the chairs had big rips across the vinyl seat. Yuck. Room was hot (no air conditioning but we knew that from previous stay), turned on the portable fan(which was also very dusty), opened the only window that had a screen, and eventually we cooled off and slept. On a positive note - bed was comfy. In the morning, room was very light (no room darkening curtains on the kitchen window so it got bright very early). So we got up to shower and check out. EXCEPT there was no hot water. AT ALL. Tried to run the faucets to see if it would come on but it didn’t. So we had to leave without showers. Went to talk to the front desk about our concerns and check out (around 8:40 am) and the front door was locked. Sign wasn’t on. No lights on inside. No one around. So I dropped the key in the “early” check out box (didn’t think 0840 am was early on a Saturday in the summer) and left. So disappointed.

This property is older but has been updated recently and is quite nice. Not much for amenities but Little Fort is less than 5 minutes away. The staff are very friendly and caring. I will definitely stay here again.

Pleasant greeting and reception when we arrived. This is an old, but renovated property located alongside a river. The grounds were somewhat unkept.

No a/c, it was not that clean and it is just falling apart it could use a renovation and it I way out of the way from any amenities.

The stay was awesome! We got there late but the staff waited for us. Very helpful. The room was clean and good for a quick overnight stay. The only downside was that the staff informed us that EXPEDIA charged us a lot more than the actual room rate. Would prefer booking directly instead of using Expedia.

Overnight in Little Fort
The location was amazing right on the river front. The owners were very friendly and helpful. It was full of birds , very beautiful and relaxing. The building needs to be updated and the beds were not very comfortable, but the location was great

Clean hotel room
In summer, this would be an amazing stopover and I will consider it for future trips. That said, the room was not prepped for our family of four, the water is not potable and only one small bottle per person was provided, and the wifi was not functional and no inside provision for the children to use the wifi was made available (it seems it was working near the office, but not in the rooms). The room was one of the very cleanest we have stayed in for several years. No breakfast was provided and the limitation of dates it is provided for was not obvious when I booked. The staff were friendly enough and brought requested items promptly.

Friendly hosts and clean accommodation
This is a clean, comfortable place just off the highway. These are new owners as of 2017, and they work hard to provide a welcoming respite from your travels. Breakfast is included and is very good. The room we stayed in lacked a suitcase rack and a closet but as we were only there for one night, it was not an issue.

A gem ! This little motel is super clean, comfortable and had beautiful views of the mountains and river. Very peaceful. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and a great start to our travels for the day. Very friendly owners offered great advice and ideas for when we are in the area again. We will definitely stay here again!

Greeting was a bit cold, room was not the same as in photo, but beds were clean and comfy. Breakfast next day was awesome and we chatted warmly with the person that checked us in. WiFi was a problem. Would have liked a steady signal and be able to use WiFi in the room

Quiet location by the riverside. Super owners. A great choice for families of older children. Loved sitting by the river. Saw wild boar and lots of humming birds.

Great time at the Rivermount
We were very pleased with our stay at the Rivermount. Hospitality, friendliness, cleanliness....all were superior. I forgot to say helpful. We were recommended a restaurant where the food was delicious and the atmosphere to our liking. The owners of the Rivermount were especially helpful in helping with reservations for the next leg of our journey. Five stars all the way.

Recommended with a few caveats
Very good choice for the price. Nice details and atmosphere and right on the river. But it's also in close proximity to the highway and it is a truck route so if it's total quiet you seek, it's a consideration. The traffic does however lessen at night. Hummingbirds are the theme of the place and it's totally set up to attract them. But hummingbirds are fickle and we only saw one. That could change by the hour. Comfortable and clean. Nice breakfast.
