"Our stay at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Punta Gorda was absolutely peaceful, and the staff was so pleasant. We came from Miami for a weekend getaway and were not disappointed. Check-in was smooth, and we were even able to check in early. The room was exactly as pictured — very clean with tasteful aesthetics. For dinner, the front desk recommended TT's Tiki Bar, which was within walking distance. It was the perfect suggestion! Breakfast on our first morning was phenomenal, with plenty of delicious options. We spent the day at Gasparilla Island (about 45 minutes away), and when we returned, my daughter enjoyed the pool while I relaxed by the water — we had the pool completely to ourselves. On our last morning, Labor Day, breakfast was even better with an even wider variety to choose from. Although room service is scheduled every two days, we only asked for trash removal and fresh towels after 24 hours. To our surprise, the staff went above and beyond by refreshing our entire room. Parking was ample and right in front of the hotel. Every part of this stay exceeded our expectations, and I would definitely stay here again if we return to Punta Gorda or the surrounding area."

"The price is good. May not be the Ritz but it is no dump as many of the in town. I forgot my cooler and several hours later I realized once home. Called the desk and they found it and kept it until I returned a week later. For the budget this place is great a little dated Try that at the Holiday Inn wouldn’t have happen. "

"We absolutely loved our stay at Matlacha on Shoreview! Tucked away and wonderfully quiet, it felt like a true off-the-beaten-path retreat. The staff went above and beyond—so friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. We especially enjoyed the complimentary kayaks for exploring the water and really appreciated having laundry facilities available during our stay. A special highlight was the Memorial Day reception with delicious snacks and beverages—it was such a thoughtful touch that made the holiday feel extra special. This place is a hidden gem, and we can’t wait to come back!"
