Thundering Victoria Falls beckons with its dramatic mist-shrouded gorges and adrenaline-pumping activities like white water rafting and bungee jumping. Cruise the mighty Zambezi River at sunset to spot hippos and elephants, or visit the Livingstone Museum for fascinating cultural exhibits.
What a beautiful old world hotel. No detail was left out. Lovely greeting in the reception area and they came to you, not you going to the desk. Manager greeted each and every guest. Rooms are well appointed, spacious and very comfortable.
Within walking distance to the Falls. On the way home, on the path, I counter giraffes, monkeys, baboons and zebra !
Highly recommend

The location is amazing, relaxing and beautiful. The staff is great. The taxis services are good, but the most expensive I encounter during my trip to Africa.

I was stuck in a hotel in victoria falls Africa that was the filthiest hotel I had seen in a long time.Spent one night in terrible conditions complete withbad overpriced food and mosquito nets. I was lucky to find this property in Zambia on Hotels .com. Went and toured the falls had a cab pick us up with our luggage and went directly there. Was not sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. From the friendly interaction at check in I knew I had
made the correct decesion. I told Wessley...

Tongabezi is amazing!! I stayed for one week and didnt want to leave. If you are traveling from Zimbabwe it is very easy to cross the border and get to the hotel (they will arrange everything for you)
Pros: The rooms are huge, internet is perfect (which was an issue in other places on my trip), rooms are elegant and modern (the decoration is BEAUTIFUL) and the food is really good (and healthy!) and the whole place is run perfect Mwila, the manager.
Also- they have a gym! Which is amazing as...

A practical laid back place that doesn't compromise on cleanliness. They have a formula that seems to work. Most tourists appeared very young but respectful towards oldies. No loud-mouthed bogans or annoying smokers either. More your cool yoga types!

It was nice to stay in an environment I can call a second home! The grounds were clean, the room was perfect. All was clean. Why stay at a hotel when you can stay at a very nice property like this one. It is close to all the amenities, restaurants, etc. The prices are also excellent. Gloria has a nice team and manages the property well.

We stayed at the Zambizi Sun in August of 2010 for three nights. We chose it after extensive research and advice from a tourist agent in South Africa. It was a fantastic stay. The room was small, but clean and comfortable. It is in a National Park, so Zebra, Giraffe, and Baboons walk all over. The most impressive is you can walk to the falls unlimited times in two minutes. We were very concerned about Malaria, but this resort sprays the grounds and there is a special spray in each room. Another...

I stayed in Victoria Falls Waterfront for 2 nights in a camping tent. Since I actually stayed in a pretty good hotel (Avani hotel) for my conference for a few days before that, I have some basis of comparison.
View: Excellent! I sat on an afternoon in the restaurant looking into the Zambezi river. It's a wide open view. I actually enjoyed myself so much sipping a cup of tea over that (worked a little bit on laptop as well)
Staff: Another excellent point. All staff are welcoming and...

We booked the comfort chalet room but was given a double standard room instead. They have double booked by accident. I still kept the 5-star rating because 1.) The price for both were the same anyway 2.) Even established hotels make the same mistakes with double-booking. 3.) The staff, especially Priscilla and Imelda took exceptionally good care of us! They are obviously a lodge on soft opening period, most of the area is still under construction but the rooms were spotless clean. The breakfast...

It's beautiful, right in the middle of nature. You can hear hippos at night and get out on the brautiful porch by the river, and yet you are so close to everything. i was in the luxury safari tent which had a safari-like open air private shower, comfortable bed and lots of space, and was very clean. This is not your place if you are scared of lizards in your room, it is indeed a safari like experience and not a sterile air-con room.
The only negative is the food, which was bad. But in just a...

Awesome spot for a great price! Really good scrambled eggs in the morning. Just got to book a Yango to get there, or rent a car, but I'd recommend downloading Yango (like Zambia's Uber) before you go. And have cash to pay the drivers; the credit card feature on Yango is weird.
