“We needed a place to stay last minute due to the power outage from storm Amy…..happened into this place and it was great. Very welcoming staff, very clean room with great view of the loch. Easy walk down the drive to grab dinner which was tasty! Would highly recommend”

“The Lovat at Loch Ness is a charming and stylish lakeside hotel. The property has two lovely lounges, even a grand piano, and is equipped with an elevator — a thoughtful touch. Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight: besides the classic Highland Breakfast, we tried the Kedgeree (smoked haddock with curried rice and poached egg), which was absolutely delicious and a wonderful Scottish surprise. The hotel’s location in Fort Augustus adds to the experience....

“We stayed while walking the Great Glen Way, and it is right on the route. It is a large friendly hostel. Our room had two sets of very comfortable bunk beds. ”

“It is a great property but don’t arrive late because there is not much communication until you arrive at the property. We arrived 3pm and you pick up keys at the coffee shop that closes arround 5:30. As long you get there early you won’t have a problem. Otherwise, the property is great! Very clean and spacious. One of the nicest place we have booked. ”
