Great hotel with a a beautiful view and beach
The hotel is in a great location. We stayed in the bungalow and it was clean and comfortable beds. Has a room safe and mini fridge and air conditioning unit. The shower pressure was a bit weak but what do you expect on an island. The beach was right in front and beautiful snorkeling right out front. The beach is white and sandy but when on the edge it is full of shells so very sharp so needed some water shoes and purchased them right down the way. The staff who worked there were extremely friendly and professional. The Bali people are truely so friendly. The breakfast is good. Has all you need for the day. They always had water available for consumption. Had dinner there the last night and it was good. We tried to support the staff there as they are so nice and the island was closed for 2 years. Rented the bikes for five dollars a day and loved this about the island. No motorized vehicles on the island so that is really nice. Horse and carts or walking is how you get around. Rented a boat for the day just my husband and myself for 85$ Australia a day and that was nice. Went to all three Gili islands. I would also say hotels dot com to have a minimum characters of one million characters is a bit much. I don't even write that much to anyone and it is a deterrent to write a review but I am doing one anyways because I want people to know how awesome this resort is and how the staff deserve the businesses. So now I'm just going to say great island.

Idéalement placé tout se fait à pied. Plage en face permet de faire du snorkeling tous les jours. Restaurant disponible et prix corrects. Petit déjeuner simple mais efficace.

We paid more than we would have liked to for accommodation at Sunrise so you kind of expect more. The receptionist was very new but check in was awkward & we weren't given no information on the property. It was very quiet with guests when we were there, seemed like more staff sitting around than customers We arrived for breakfast the next day not realising it was a buffet style (nobody told us) & you have to find staff to order eggs/pancakes from Beachfront property & the snorkeling right infront of the hotel was the best place on the island for this so this was great 😀 Tons of sunbeds on the beach & asked if there were another beach umbrella to which the staff said their wasn't so about 4 in total for all these beach sunbeds?! The room was really nice & was nice to have a pool too but overall was disappointed in the hotel & the money we had spent here, it just seemed to lack any management or atmosphere

This is certainly the prettiest and most comfortable hotel on the island. The pool is oh, so pretty, the position is right on the beach and the service ultra kind and unobtrusive. A romantic lifetime memory of the very best kind.

A nice place to stay on gili air. Didn’t see anything that looked better. Beautiful coral reef right outside the hotel. Staff is nice and helpful but they do overlook customers at the restaurant/bar quite a lot.

Nos encantó todo, desde el hotel, la habitación y la gran amabilidad de todo el personal, siempre con una amplia sonrisa. Además de tener playa estábamos en la mejor zona para hacer buceo, vimos muchísimos corales tu peces, impresionante!!

We loved our stay at Sunrise Gili Air for 4 nights during our honeymoon! The resort itself is in the perfect location on Gili Air - about 10 minutes from the harbour and located right next to the best snorkelling spot on the island! Lots of great restaurants and snorkel/dive shops nearby. We stayed in one of the Signature suites with a big, comfortable bed and daybed on the main floor, and an open air loft with 2 hammocks and bean bag chairs up top. The pool area is big, beautiful and well maintained, and the restaurant is gorgeous as well! The buffet breakfast in the morning was great, and every staff member we encountered were incredibly friendly and helpful! There are loungers overlooking the ocean, which get swapped out for romantic candle lit tables for dinner. Overall we loved our stay at Sunrise Gili Air and would definitely recommend it!

Superb hotel
This is a perfect hotel. Fabulous location with turtles swimming on the adjoining reef in the morning. Stylish grounds and a lovely pool and ultra friendly. Wonderful food. Superb service. A short walk from the harbour. Near everything. Wow it was amazing!

Alt på hotellet lever op til billederne og beskrivelsen! De har en smuk udsigt, gode drinks (prøv deres mango colada!), god morgenmad og en dejlig pool. Service er i top. Anbefaler at bo her, hvis man skal til Gili Air!

Just about 10 minutes walk from the pier. Great sunrise view. The restaurant staffs were very lay back. Don’t expect immediate services.

Fuldkommen ned i gear
Skønt sted, hvis man som min veninde og jeg virkelig trængte til at komme ned i gear. Den helt rette placering på Gili Air og med en fantastisk strand og solopgang få meter fra egen hytte. Dejlig pool og lækre siddeområder! Personalet på stedet var så søde, ikke en finger at sætte på noget som helst.

The location is fantastic and the room, bathroom, pool, service were incredible. They are currently renovating and there is A LOT of construction being done which I wish I would have known. It was hard to enjoy the property during the day with all of the clinking and sawing of construction happening on all sides of the room. But the staff were incredible and the proximity to great snorkling is unbeatable. I just wish we would have known about the construction for all of the money we had spent. Without construction, I would revisit in an instant.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, always smiling and welcoming. The suite we stayed in was a pleasant surprise - very spacious and nice, although not as polished as some people may require, however we were quite comfortable and Sunrise is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

We loved Sunrise Gili Air. It was the perfect location, with incredible snorkeling right outside the hotel, lovely bungalows, super comfortable beds, lovely staff, GREAT food, and lovely sunbeds to relax on and look at the beautiful view. It was by far our favorite place to eat on the island and we truly hardly left the grounds. Would strongly recommend to anyone visiting Gili Air.

Rolig og fint hotell med vennlig personale. Daglig rengjøring, men ikke veldig grundig. Gulvet ble ikke vasket og vi var en del plaget med mygg på rommet. Rommet hadde ikke myggnetting. Hotellets gjester kan benytte seg av gratis solstoler ved stranden. Gode snorklemuligheter.

La struttura è molto graziosa ma purtroppo un po'vecchiotta nonostante questo nel bungalow Deluxe dove abbiamo soggiornato c'è tutto: cassaforte frigo bar e aria condizionata ( indispensabile per riuscire a dormire) molto bella la piscina e molto cordiale il personale. Il ristorante si trova proprio davanti al mare e si mangia bene. Nel complesso il mio giudizio è comunque positivo.

I only write reviews if it is extremely horrible or over the top good. Unfortunately, Sunrise Gili Air was an awful choice for our stay in Gili Air. When we arrived late in the afternoon we were quickly taken to our first row suite bungalow only to find out the air conditioner wasn't working. I advised the front desk immediately who called housekeeping. A young man showed up who didn't speak English and held is hand over the vent and shrugged his shoulders. They offered to move us to another room for the night but that room didn't have working air conditioning either. Then we were told a new unit would be there tomorrow. I asked for a refund and told them I wanted to move to another resort. The front desk said I had to pay a cancellation fee if I chose to leave! I had purchased the most expensive room in their resort to have the worse stay possible! Also, there was blood on the sheets and the toilet would not flush. At checkout, I was offered USD $25 for the inconvenience of no air conditioning for the first night and all night the next day. Also, quite coincidental the new unit showed up on the next day which tells me Sunrise Gili Air new the air conditioning was bad! This resort is definitely a zero to one star at the very best. I highly recommend you DO NOT STAY AT THIS DUMP!

When we first checked in at this hotel, my partner went for a swim in the pool while I settled our things into the room. He was rudely approached by a staff member named "Chris" a blonde guy with longer hair who said that he had to leave the pool and that it was for guests only. My partner replied "My friend I'm staying at this hotel" To which the staff member replied "I'm not your friend and I'll have to go and check that" When he returned he continued to ask my partner to leave the pool, but shortly after realized his mistake. He tried to explain that a lot of people try and use the pool, however we stayed for three days and not even hotel guests used the pool much, and the rude factor was not necessary. It left a bad feeling after having just checked into the hotel. The hotel room was not that great, and had a off putting smell to it. Also saw bugs and lizards crawling around the walls. The staff in the kitchen also tried to charge us for food and drinks from a previous day and during this time we weren't even on Gili Air but on Gili Meno. Breakfast was not appetizing and very disorganized. Order part of your food, and the other part of your meal arrives half an hour later. Not impressed, would definitely not recommend to anyone.

Mali sme rezervovanú izbu Deluxe, avšak tá ani zďaleka nezodpovedala našim očakávaniam, tak sme si doplatili za samostatný domček, ktorý mal na poschodí obrovskú terasu s výhľadom na more. Areál hotela je príjemný, má krásnu záhradu, more pri hoteli je krásne, vhodné na plávanie i šnorchlovanie. Čo sa ale týka ostrova, boli sme dosť rozčarovaní z toho, ako to tam vyzerá... Všade neporiadok, zanedbané, neupravené miesta... Keby domáci namiesto neustáleho "obťažovania" turistov s ponúkaním lodných výletov trochu upratali, bolo by to kúzelné miesto.

Ihan kiva kokemus ja kiva oli merinäköala bungalowi. Hinta oli kyllä liian korkea tästä majoituksesta. Ainoot että airilla on huonot ranta mahdollisuudet niin tämän edessä oli se yks parhaista ja tämän edessä oli parhaat snorklaus paikat. Siihen tuli heti aamusta paljon turisti veneitä snorklaamaan että kannattaa tehdä se itse aikaisemmin. Isoin miinus, ruoka oli tässä paikassa aivan hirveetä. En yleinsä valita ja syön oikeestaan mitä vaan mutta nyt oli kyllä kamalat. Aamupalla sain homeisen muffinsin. Luulen että nyt ei Olli isoin turisti aika niin ruoka ei ollut siellä niin vaihtuvaa. Mutta ruoka puolen sai hoidettua onneksi läheisissä ravintoloissa!

Generelt er virkeligt dejligt hotel, med en skøn beliggenhed med mulighed for at snorkle direkte fra stranden, og det sødeste og mest serviceminded personale. Hotellet fremstår dog noget slidt. Vi boede i en bungalow med havudsigt. Gelænderet på terrassen var så faldefærdigt, at vi ikke var trygge ved at vores børn stod og lænede sig op af det. Airconditionen virkede ikke optimalt, vi fik den “lavet”5 gange under vores 6 dages ophold. Vi havde en ekstra opredning på værelset, men madrassen var så “udsovet” at det var umuligt at sove på den, så vi endte med at den ene sov på sofaen på terrassen, hvilket tilgengæld var enormt hyggeligt.

Loistava hotelli rannalla! Aamupala hyvä. Allasalue kaipaa peruskorjausta. Hotellin ravintolan joka iltainen seagood bbq; nam! Saapuessamme kaksikerroksiseen huoneeseemme, jossa yläkerrassa oli riippumatto tsillailupaikka, tuli pikku onnellisuusitku ;D Mahtavat snorklauspaikat suoraan rannalta, joka kerralla nähtiin kilpikonna ja paljon kaloja ja muuta meren elämää. Pohjan profiili hyvä, laskuveden aikaankin hyvät snorklausmahdollisuudet. Paikalliset yritykset tuovat ihmisiä snorklaamaan juuri tänne.

Man sollte die Bilder im Internet einfach mal der Situation entsprechend anpassen. Wir waren für 5 Tage im Sunrise und die gesamte Hotelfront ist eine Baustelle. Die sogenannte Sonnenterrasse existiert nicht mehr. Im hinteren Bereich des Hotels wird auch gebaut und unser Zugang zum Zimmer verlief über zwei Bretter, da hat man wohl mal den Weg vergessen. Wenn man nicht gleich morgens um 8 Uhr zum Strand geht, keine Chance eine Liege zu bekommen. Die anderen Touristen, die nicht zum Resort gehören, belagern alle Liegen. Wenn man 100.000 IRP p.P. bezahlt, darf man den ganzen Tag die Liegen und Schirme benutzen. Frage: Wer kommt günstiger dabei weg, der Hotelgast oder der externe Besucher, der sich für ein paar Euro am Tag im günstigen Hostel irgendwo einquartiert hat? Die Müllberge am Strand, bedingt durch die Baustelle, könnte man trotzdem entfernen. Das Internet funktioniert nur in den öffentlichen Bereichen. Im Zimmer null Chance alleine das W-Lan überhaupt zu finden. Frühstück eher klein gehalten. Kein Aufschnitt, keine Brötchen, keine frischen Säfte. Den Instantkaffee muss man gar nicht erst probieren. Frühstück nicht mit zu buchen, gab es als Option leider nicht. Vor Ort ist es viel günstiger. Gili Air und das Hotel könnten eine Reise wert sein, wenn die Baustellen-Saison auf der ganzen Insel irgenwann mal abgeschlossen ist.

Great hotel, the room was very beautiful and the bed comfortable. I loved the walk in shower.The hotel is near the beach. Highly recommend!
