Great location, rough check-In

We enjoyed staying in a location that was just a short distance from downtown London. Very reasonable price and enjoyed having a shared kitchen space. However, our check-in process went poorly. They claimed the cleaning service never showed up the day we arrived and we came into an apartment that was still dirty from the previous guests. This delayed our day as we had to wait for it to be cleaned.

Fantastic price, amazing location

The price for this place in this location is AMAZING! I honestly don’t think you’ll find better for the money. Read the reviews so you understand what you’re getting but everything was clean, comfortable and well managed. I didn’t have a problem with the shared bathrooms - there were two bathrooms to three rooms, and a shared kitchen and common room but I didn’t see anyone else the whole time I was there. As per other reviews, you can hear doors closing and opening but you can hear that in any hotel. I would recommend staying here if you want a Very affordable, brilliantly located, clean and simple room.

I needed a place to stay near Euston for a couple of nights but didn’t want to pay a fortune, yet have my own bedroom. This place was perfect: 15 min walk from Euston and 10 min walk from Oxford Circus. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room, bathrooms (toilet+shower), kitchen and facilities were really clean. The room and whole hotel were warm, as expected in December. The room was tiny (not even 4 square metres) but I only needed a place to crash, so that was not a problem for me. Despite the small size of the room, it had everything you needed: wardrobe, full length mirror, chair, table, ironing board and iron! towels and shower gel were also included. Great value for money in the area, I would 100% come back here or recommend. On the negative side, the walls are super thin (you can hear the tv from your neighbour or even hear them snore) and the windows are not very good either and you can hear the traffic or people speaking in the street; however, it didn’t catch my by surprise as I had read some previous comments and the problem was solved with a pair of earplugs. Some comments say this is expensive for the quality? I do not agree at all. Good luck finding anything better for less than £50/night! This little hotel was a great finding in such prime location!!!

This place is a disgrace. It is not like the photos . It is not a hotel . To enter, you must first go to a book shop to get keys. Not easy to find . I would have serious concerns that it is properly licenced. Noisy. TV hanging from wall. Arial lead across the bed. Never again . No easy communication . No refunds. Dreadful.

Location was good, but the property itself was disappointing. These are not really apartments but individual rooms with a shared central area kitchen. The carpet on stairs was old and torn. Place smelled like paint. The best part was the private bathroom. It was really small, but nice, clean and modern. Not very secure premises which is a big minus if you want to leave your laptop or any valuables in your room. And of course, like many places in London there is major construction going on across the street. They stop promptly at 6:00pm, but it starts up early in the morning so you cannot really sleep in. They also contract with some third party agency to obtain your personal information online and "verify you".(just ignore that if you go through Expedia).

Thin walls, noisy environment.

The walls are paper-thin, so you will hear your neighbor speaking even in a low voice. When the door next to your s opens, it sounds like your own door opening, so it's a bit unsettling. The shared kitchen and bathrooms are fine, but the room is pretty scuffed and small. In addition, there was construction going on just below the windows all afternoon and then early in the morning. I can't say that I got a good night's rest here.

Excelent location. Clean. Good kitchen amenities. However, petrol/oil fumes in corridor gather from garage repair on ground floor. Extremely concerned that there was Not another exit in case of fire. Especially as the main entrance door was kept unlocked this was a shared entrance to the mechanics garage... VERY DANGEROUS.

Was slightly mislead in the expectations of the property by the pictures. Was lead to believe these were separate apartments, not shared with others on the floors. Whilst it mentions this slightly in the Room Amenities, this wasn't clear enough (would have avoided if knew) Place itself is okay. But the booking in process of Allo Housing is way too invasive and time consuming, location information isn't very clear either. I'd say my negativity towards the property is more aimed at the Expedia advertisement and the Allo Housing processes. For a hostel style place, its alright, if that's what your looking for.

The place was dirty, small and NOTHING like the pictures posted online. False advertisement!! The room is VERY small and super dusty! The bathroom shower was the only thing clean in the room. The drain was clogged so it was hard to wash hands or brush teeth without dirty water splashing back on you. Under the Murphy bed was filled with trash from other guests and thick dust. We did not sleep either night due to the construction at 5 am and the LOUD restaurant downstairs. People were partying till 3am in the morning. No onsite staff to talk to . Phone number listed on Orbitz didn't work. Check in process confusing. Only good thing is the area it's in.

Beware single rooms at Charlotte Apartments

I have stayed at the Charlotte Apartments before and had a lovely room. This time however I was put in a different property about 100 metres away for "single travellers" that was the size of a shoebox and had shared bathrooms with one of the showers not working. Not what I booked for @£90 and will not be going back

Great location, great service

The hotel located in a nice place (very close to city center and underground) The owner solved my problem with heater immediately once I reported the problem. Although the place is small, me and my boyfriend had a nice trip with this convenient hotel.

The accomodation was OK for a cheap few nights away in London. Some of the floors were uneven whcih meant for an interesting nights sleep as our bed was on a slope. The facilities were very good and the place was clean.
