While the staff was nice and the room was clean, there were a lot of things that needed repair. Our room was very warm as the A/C didn’t work. The hotel was very warm in general. Only one elevator was operational and there were a few construction project inside.

Lovely heritage hotel with period features. Room was compact but well equipped. Breakfast was excellent, with some traditional Indian dishes to enjoy. Cocktails were good if pricey, with a £2 service charge each. Staff very friendly, although front of house check in/ check out took longer than you would expect.

Hôtel de grand standing, situé à deux pas de Buckingham, chambre très propre et spatieuse, personnel très courtois et professionnel, petit déjeuner varié et copieux. Tout a été parfait !

The property is beautiful. The service was the best. Breakfast was outstanding. We stayed for 7 nights and would stay again. It's less than a ten minute walk to Buckingham Palace and a little bit of a longer walk to Westminster Abbey but walkable. The only thing would be that the rooms were a bit warm even after adjusting the temperature. Also, it would be nice to have walkin showers without tubs for those of us up in age with mobility problems. Otherwise it was great. I would have liked to try the Spa! Next time!

Beautiful hotel, staff was extremely helpful and polite. Great location, you can walk to everything. We received a complimentary upgrade on our room. The breakfast was delicious, everything you could ask for is available.

Lovely hotel in the heart of London. Gracious staff and restaurants not to be missed. Room accommodations exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend for future visitors.

There are least two sections to the hotel, old and new. The front section facing the street is the old section and the new section is at the back of the property across a courtyard. Our first room, unbeknownst, was in the old section and was very OLD, shabby, especially considering the quite expensive price. Worn carpeting, cheap furniture with stains, 50 year old bathroom plumbing…. Faced into a decrepit courtyard with trash, HVAC equipment, overgrown weeds. Would not pass for a luxury hotel room in any fashion; supposedly a “Junior Suite” which was an upgrade. Very bad. We upgraded again and spent more money for a room-suite in the new building which was much better, quite nice but ridiculously expensive. Great location but we would not go back.

The location of the hotel is really perfect to reach the famous sights quickly. The subway and bus stops are very close. The rooms are very stylishly furnished. The breakfast had a good selection. All in all a nice vacation.

Attentive, welcoming staff. All went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable. Food in all their restaurants was exquisite. Would stay there again in a heartbeat

The St. James Hotel is a five star experience. The staff very friendly and professional. Our room was very spacious ( junior suite ) with very comfortable king bed . Bathroom was spacious and clean. I highly recommend this hotel when staying in London. David on the Rock 🇨🇦
