"Staying at Cabra Castle is an unforgettable experience! From the manicured grounds to the welcoming staff, stately sitting areas, bar, and, of course, the castle room accommodations, were elegant yet warm and inviting. A castle with old-world charm and the comfort of modern amenities. The restaurant was very good, food delicious and the staff attentive! Would highly recommend Cabra Castle and hope to return in the future!"

"Hotel staff are up to 4 star quality but the hotel itself is tired looking. There is cracks and chips in the painted walls and the carpets have stains from continuous use over time that has not been kept well. The rooms are nice but there’s nothing really special you wouldn’t get from your ordinary travel lodge style hotels, plus the pillows on my bed smelled of old body odour. The pool was quiet small and had a really loud aqua aerobics class on at 7 in the evening taking up all the swimming lanes which made it really uncomfortable. The menus in the bar are covered in stains and the offering was basic for the value. It’s fine for a corporate stop over but it’s definitely not the luxurious hotel itself tries to display."

"VIEW OF THE CASTLE ACROSS THE STREET IS MAGNIFICENT! Can also have a drink in the Castle View bar to enjoy the scenery. We had a great breakfast which included a hot made-to-order menu as well as help-yourself continental breakfast options. BUT, check-in was poor because hotel claimed they did not have our Expedia reservation, even though Expedia said that the hotel confirmed my reservation the day I made it - which was months ago. While the hotel was sold out, we got lucky because they had one cancellation. Trim Castle Hotel claimed it was just a “glitch in the system.” Also, no temperature control/AC in room and no handheld nozzle in the shower. No fridge either, but that’s common in Irish hotels, Good king bed and ample towels."
