The hotel is in the centre of Luca and within walking distance of anything you could want within the walled city. I felt safe as a solo female traveller and was comforted by the rooms' security. Breakfast was outstanding, the staff was friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable, and the showers had great pressure with lots of hot water. Housekeeping had an eye for detail at this hotel; everything was clean upon arrival, and the turn-down service was thoughtful with my belongings while doing an excellent job at giving the room a refresh. I highly recommend this hotel.

This b&b is one part of a larger building. It is a little off putting to walk into a dark lobby filled with bicycles and strollers but once inside it is delightful. The owner is on the premises and the breakfast is really good. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was quiet and comfortable. The location is terrific. It is inside the city wall and You can walk to anything.

This place is beyond charming. Amazing location. Lively breakfast. Ultra helpful and friendly staff. It was a little unnerving driving into the ZTL zone (and narrow!!) but we were assured that they send a picture of our plate in to the proper authorities and there would be no problem. Loved it!!!

Sjarmerende lite B&B med perfekt beliggenhet i Lucca. Frokosten kunne gjerne startet kl. 08:00, istedet for kl.08:30. Personalet var svært behjelpelige og vennlige. De sendte med oss fokostpakke da vi hadde tidlig flight før frokost-tid siste dagen. Stedet kan anbefales. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake.

Fantastisk hjælpsomme og imødekommende værter. Hyggeligt B&B med skøn morgenmad. Intet varmt vand første morgen, men blev fikset med det samme. Aircon anlæg noget slidt (larmede lidt).

This hotel is very beautiful and the breakfast is excellent! The rooms are decorated well, it's in a very convenient location, and the hosts were so kind and gracious. We loved it here and wished we could have spent more nights exploring Lucca and sleeping on the comfy beds.

We really enjoyed our stay here at La Boheme and in Lucca. The room we had was large, with comfortable king sized bed and antique furniture. The bathroom is huge, with separate tub, shower, toilet and bidet. The water pressure in shower is great. All rooms are on the second floor, there is no elevator. WiFi is available but tended to be slow, almost too slow to be useful. No safe is in the room. Daily breakfast was great, with a large variety of breads, made to order eggs, and fresh coffee and cappuccino. The owners have other businesses close by. There is typically no one on site for service needs besides breakfast - ever. You’re pretty much on your own. Initial check-in was challenging, no one was at the hotel at 2PM as advertised and the phone wasn't being answered. When present the staff was very helpful, even getting Puccini concert tickets and dinner reservations. For those unfamiliar with old Italian cities, driving in the historic Lucca city center is a nightmare. I would not advise driving to the B&B unless you are very clear on how to get there, and confirming that the staff is actually present to let you in. We had a bad first experience and ended up parking outside the city walls.

Anyway, for future Guests I'd like to point out you have spent here one night only and precisely on my day off, sorry the owners were not there to replace me. The reception is usually open from 2 pm to 7/8 pm when I am at work and Guests are always well taken care of : )))Hope to personally welcome you if you ever come back to Lucca!

Great location, welcoming staff
Wonderful location with a friendly helpful staff. We liked our room very much and appreciated the air conditioning because of a serious heatwave. Breakfast is great and a lovely way to start your day visiting Lucca.

Great Place to stay
Great Place to stay in the absolute center of Lucca. Quick respond to the reservation telling me how to drive into Lucca. Staff friendly and helpful. Wifi working ok. Breakfast great even 0830 in my point of view is too late. All in all, the place gets our best recommendation

Sehr schönes Haus mit umgebauten Zimmer. Passt sehr zum Ambiente in der Toskana. Sehr freundliche Begrüssung und sehr hilfsbereit. Zum Frühstück gab es eine gute Auswahl. Das einzige was mich gestört hat: Das Zimmer war gerade hinter der Rezeption & Frühstücksraum und man hat jeden Gast/Telefonat Gespräch gehört.

Central, comfortable small hotel in Lucca.
I stay in many hotels and the service from this was excellent. Girls on Reception and breakfast service could not have been more helpful. If you bring a car, bring a small one, and pay for under cover parking €15 per day. Worth it. Lucca is a lovely old. walled city, park up and follow advice of the staff as to what to do and what to see. Have an opera aria taster, organ recital, walking tour or just walk the walls and choose from any number of places for an aperitivo and then dinner.
Didn't make it passed the wall. Ooops.

The host was very friendly! The location is perfect, we parked the car for free outside the city Centre (5 minutes walk). The rooms was beautiful and clean! If we have to give one point of feedback: the airconditioning makes a lot of noise... had a pleasant stay!
