We had to scramble to book this reservation the day or our stay because our VRBO cancelled our reservation. We couldn't have been happier. We had a great stay! The people were awesome! The Italian villa feel to the place was great, and the breakfast was amazing! We only had one night in Lucca, but wished we could have spent more time there, and in this amazing hotel.

Very elegant accommodations in a very elegant setting. Villa San Michele is everything an Italian villa should be! The building is timeless and the interior is glamorous. The entire staff is welcoming, professional, and friendly!! The wine list is extensive, the food is as imaginative as it is delicious! Very convenient to Lucca and Pisa. Plenty of on-site parking. Too cool to enjoy the pool, but the setting was lovely.

Lovely memories.

From the moment of arrival to leaving, we were thoroughly looked after. Amazing team of staff, all extremely accommodating. Wonderful food in the restaurant and a delicious breakfast. Very comfortable bed and efficient air conditioning in room. Beautiful pool with plenty of space and loungers. If you don’t mind a short walk down the road to the bus stop, there are regular buses to Lucca (number 54), and not so regular to Pisa (E3).

The villa is in a quiet village outside of Lucca, ideally to get around you would need a car. We only stayed one night so got taxis to and from the hotel. The staff were all lovely and went above and beyond. The food in the restaurant is fantastic and reasonably priced. The rooms are big and airy. The garden and pool are beautiful and it is in a quiet peaceful and relaxing location surrounded by mountains and trees. We would highly recommend staying here if you would like a relaxing tranquil place to stay

Beautiful 15th century villa , with manicured grounds . Restaurant was excellent, but rather expensive . Bfst was excellent. 4 km out of Lucca on Busy highway , so couldnt walk into town . Partially offset by a bus route appropriately 600 meters from property. Enjoyed walks in the countryside. Loved our stay overall !!

The villa it’s a beautiful place in Toscana to stay and relax , the pool is the best feature of the hotel. In the lobby the is a bar where you can order apperitivo, and the restaurant face a the beautiful garden. Food was excellent but pricey.

Beautiful villa just a short drive from Lucca. The room was relatively basic but with an incredibly comfortable bed and in quiet surroundings. The breakfast was fresh and varied and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was perfect for an early morning dip before exploring the surrounding hills and town. I would happily stay here again.
