Wonderful place! A bit to fancy food on the menu, otherwise top notch
Ok for a quick stop in if you need a spot to stay near lake Vänern. The bed & rooms are a bit dated but dinner & breakfast were good. If there’s a conference going on the dining room will be noisy as it is a large banquet hall like space.
Amazing location and breakfast. The SPA was way beyond my expectation. The beds was twin beds wich I do not like. Prefer queen-sized. The shower in the bathroom need to be fixed.
A lot of dust under the beds but otherwise the rooms in the SPA building are quite fresh. You have to pay extra if you want to try billiards or some other activity and this is very unusual in similar hotels according to our experience.
Was disappointed that i had to pay for spa. Not well informed on hotells.com page. Room was a bit cheap and bed between walls. So not comfortable for tall person.
Medioker Spa hotell with the facilities spread out on a very large area from the main building, where the restaurant was situated. The Spa closed early and no possibilities to used it except during day time. Spa was also very expensive (€45) even for hotel guests. Beds was ok but not more, pillows was terrible.
Dinner was excellent and breakfast was ok, missing other things but seeds to my yoghurt.
A SPA where check in is 3PM and the SPA close at 4 PM is nothing but a pure scandal.
I called the reception ahead to check if the hotel reservation we hade made,( Expedia) could be added with SPA, and got a positive answer.
Jepp, 45 minutes formally SPA hours, but practically NO.
Another thing....since this initial diappointment from no SPA was present during our stay...
Why "bang on the big drum" using the environmental angle when taking away orange juice from breakfast, when using disposable glasses/muggs in the hotel instead of multiuse glass.
General impression of a SPA hotel without SPA hours and a hotel with pretended environmental aspects....is bad
We stayed in a superiour double room but unfortunately didn´t sleep well due to the stiffness of the beds. (I would compare the beds to those found in cheap Mediterranean hotels in the 90's.)
We ordered the Summer buffet and it was really good with lots of dishes to shoose from. The only complaint here would be that they didn't include any kind of dessert nor coffee or tea. There were however sweets (cake croissants etc.) as part of the breakfast buffet. I would suggest that the hotel also or instead offer them as dessert after the evening buffet. Now it just seems cheap not to have any kind of dessert included in the summer evening buffet and kind of surplus to have them at breakfast. Beside these issues we enjoyed our stay.
