“The room itself was okay for 2 nights. But it was the time of the heatwave, and I could only open the window literally one inch, so it was suffocating to stay there. Luckily, the housekeeper got me a fan that helped, but I hope they adjust it so it can be opened to at least 3-4 inches which is the standard safety gap.”

“This obviously would have been a very grand hotel in its heyday. It's no longer grand but still rather wonderful - high ceilings and huge windows with sea-views. Unpretentious and perfect if you're travelling with kids/dogs/any animal that you might normally worry could do harm/cause annoyance - no need to worry about that here. Traditional breakfast is rather excellent and there are bean-to-cup coffee machines with unlimited refill/return.”

Breakfast was wonderful, cooked to order. It is a fair piece from town, which I did not realize, but the GPS took me right to the front door.”

“This was in walking distance to the waterfront which had all the shops, cafes and restaurants that we needed. It was also close for the ferry to Mull. The hotel did not have a buffet but you ordered from the menu and everything was brought to your table so everything was piping hot. They also had a good breakfast selection to choose from. We were very pleased with the standard of cleanliness of the room. Nice big shower as well. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”
