Unique and and an overall amazing experience! Would definitely return - one of my favorite hotel experiences. Location, ambience, comfortable, welcoming!
Absolutely stunning place!!! The rooms are huge, the property itself is simply breath taking. Staff are the best!!! A must-stay when visiting the highlands.
This was the most enjoyable stay of my time in Scotland. The staff the facilities everything was excellent. Loved the gardens and the grounds, especially the alpacas and the peacocks.
The house and rooms are beautiful. The staff was the most friendly and helpful. The beds were so cozy and the breakfast was delicious. It was an amazing stay.
If you’re looking for a luxury break in a typically Scottish baronial establishment, this is the place for you. Great staff, great location, fabulous facilities, good drinks list and plenty to keep you occupied. Ten out of ten!’ (Plus there’s peacocks!)

Wow cant say enough about this place. So beautiful, great staff, great food and just all around good vibes.
Beautiful hotel! We loved every minute of our stay. Lovely Christmas decorations too. Staff was very friendly, our room was outstanding and the breakfast was absolutely delicious! Will come back.
Glencruitten house is one of those special places.
Immaculately presented accommodation, helpful staff and lovely food. The grounds are breathtaking, and the quirkiness of the woods, friendly chickens, peacocks and alpacas make this a place I will re-visit.
I loved the hotel and the location. The staff on arrival were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely. I was disappointed to learn following the trip that during the online check in process , my credit card had been scammed & used for a deliveroo payment in Dubai! This left a bit of a sour note to our stay.
A transportive experience, that takes you straight into the forest and a different time and space. Every detail, piece of furniture, framed picture, crown molding, breakfast plate - everything made this a special and unique experience. The staff is well informed, gracious, and helpful. Out of all the hotels we stayed at this trip, Glencruitten House was our most memorable, and not to be missed.
A stunning Scottish baroque mansion in an idyllic setting. Beautifully designed in a sympathetic way but fit for modern times. Clearly, the owners have poured their heart and soul into making sure this experience will be unforgettable for the guests. Impeccable and friendly service. I rarely give 5/5 but this is one of the best you’ll experience world wide, if you have an eye for detail.
Amazing country manor! Gracious rooms. Wonderful staff. Delicious breakfast! Very close to Oban. Quiet!
The only slight I had was the over abundance of smell. Each area has reed diffusers and it is a lot of smell. As someone sensitive to that it was a bit much. I put our reed diffuser in a closet and then it was fine.
Would I recommend this to friends? 1000%! You have to see it to believe it. Absolutely amazing!
The best hotel very unique property large beautiful territory, top of the line taste , design , everything is 5 stars. It is 5 stars hotel one of the best hotels ever - very Scottish too so you can truly feel Scotland through it
Stunning property with high end luxury amenities. Beautiful hotel and excellent food. This should be rated as a five star luxury property. The views were amazing and the restaurant was worth it. There is a whiskey library and pool table room. Minimum two night stay if you can to truly soak it all in and enjoy the surrounding trails.
Our stay at Glencruitten House was lovely. However, for the price there are a few things that did not exactly meet expectations. First, upon arrival we were offered a welcome drink to enjoy in the sitting room, which was very nice. But there was no direction for what we should do after. We were not offered assistance with bags at check-in, so we went to fetch our own bags after we finished our drinks. When we lugged in our bags we were told “oh someone could have helped you with that”. It was noted that no one proceeded to help us from the lobby to our room. There was also zero acknowledgement that we were celebrating our
first anniversary. Not that we expected anything free— just acknowledging it would have gone a long way in appearing invested in your guests and making them feel special. On the whole, customer service just kind of seemed to be a bit lackluster. Additionally, the house just seemed to have quite a bit of touch ups/repair work needed (door on electric heater in bedroom was broken, lots of chipped paint on the walls, streaky paint jobs on windows where a second coat was necessary, sloppy paint jobs where paint was on window glass and door trims).
Nothing was “wrong” with our stay, per se. It’s just that staff interactions and the space itself could have been much more polished and refined. Our experience was more in line with a cheaper accommodation.
I am rooting for these guys! It’s a beautiful place and we loved staying in Oban away from the tacky ocean front area spots. We loved the views and the grounds and the library with the assortment of whiskeys. Here is a photo of some highlights! The library and the peacock and the views. Looks like a castle.

Over priced
The photos make this place look more posh than it is. Property is very disjointed, and some public rooms are under renovation. The rate we paid was totally overpriced. Its okay, but I wouldn’t stay here again
