This hotel is literally steps away from the entrance of Machu Picchu, which means you can easily catch both sunrise and sunset at the site, as well as leave and re-enter. This place was magical! Within walking distance to the train station. It's a super small town and there are no cars. The hotel can arrange for someone to meet you at the train station and assist with carrying luggage.
There are a lot of shops and great restaurants so get lost and have fun! Note that some of the outdoor restaurants charge a 'service fee'. One of the restaurants we stumbled upon had horrible service and they slipped us that service fee so just ask.
